Two things on regeneration:

1. He already has it, it just isn't instant. How do you think he survived fighting Zaraki? If you are made of spiritual energy, then you should regenerate yourself at the same rate that you generate spiritual energy, provided you aren't doing things with the energy like moving, fighting, or firing your bigass energy burst.

2. The "instant" bit may only apply because he is inside of his inner world right now. We do know that the swords can regenerate instantly, if you have a sufficient power spike.

Have you guys even considered what the logical extent of Ishida's powers will be when he comes back? His abilities without the Sanrei gloves are his true skills, if he gets so that he doesn't need them artificially limited, he'll be a god rank character for sure. When fighting Mayuri, he was tearing apart buildings. I wouldn't put it past him to be able to rip apart and absorb the energy of hollows in the future.

Yeah but I still don't think Ishida will be able to top Ichigo. in the end he just a human with quincy powers.

Don't see the reason why everyone is getting so upset over this instant regeneration thing. Remeber back in about chapter 184-187 when Ishidas dad made a comment on the uslessness of instant regeneration (when fighting the arancar menos). Just dont wait for it to grow back. Like ishida's dad did you just gotta pound away at it till there's nothing left. I see nothing wrong in having this ability and like stated previously, if regeneration is linked to stamina ichigo may get extremely tired if he constantly regenerates, to the point where he loses the abiltiy all together.

He has instant regeneration because he became a hollow. I can't be sure without seeing pictures but from the previous chapters and what the vaizards are saying his body is a hollows body now not a vaizards. Becoming a vaizard might make him lose the instant regeneration.

Wow amazing. This is turning out just like i thought it would. lol

Ichigo doesn't have a soul chain like regular humans or quincies do for that matter. Quincies age like any other human but shinigamis soul age at a slower rate. would you rather be a Quincy or a shinigami??

He doesn't have a soul chain because HE'S DEAD.

I never said Ishida would surpass Ichigo, I'm just saying that we already have at least one character with nearly unlimited power. Ishida's only problem is that if he is fighting in the physical world there are not as many spiritrons to absorb, but in Soul Society he was quite likely stronger than Ichigo was, except for burn out.

Well, at least the regenaration now explains GrimJow's arm.
