Does anyone else think Zaraki Kenpachi's zanpaktou is a pirate?

When Ichigo first encounters Kenpachi he feels a knife being held to his throat:

Notice the knife is being held by a skeleton.

Kenpachi wears and eyepatch which is traditionally pirate in the sense that do-rags are traditionally gangsta. You could argue that the bells are somewhat piratey too:

His sword has a nautical style hilt and a jagged edge. A pirate sword if I ever saw one:

He's the only captain that's got a tattered robe, when you're a pirate your clothes tend to get pretty tattered:

And finally when he releases his reiatsu at the end of the fight with Ichigo there's a giant skull behind him:

Whereas with Ichigo there was a hollow mask behind him (which would make sense since Zangetsu, Ichigo, and Wichigo are three different facets of the same soul) Kenpachi's got a skull. Which is why I'm convinced that Kenpachi's zanpaktou is some type of skeleton pirate.

I wouldn't be surprised if his Shikai ability is that he has no internal organs...

That would rock... A giant pirate guy. Hey, maybe Yachiru is the parrot?

No!! That would completely suck. Pirates in animes just don't go together, I believe. Trying to encompass a western concept into an eastern form of entertainment does not also have as smooth as transition between cultures as many would believe...

Anyway, that concept of him being a pirate is interesting.

There are Chinese and Japanese pirates too.

Yup there are pirates all over the world bu t since pirates are basically ppl that rob in the seas... just that opur perceptionof pirates are more towards western ones....
But i sortofthink that his bankai and all would be a sword.... not surewhat ability though....

if the first one on zaraki is true than this one on Yachiru might also be true since she is always perched on Zaraki. Isn't the same for parrots on captains. this would be really hilarious.

Long time reader, first time poster.

I've actually theorized that Zaraki and Yachiro are hybrids of some extent (at least different from pure Shinigami and actually not vizard either). Ichigo, Zaraki, and Yachiru are the only ones that I recall having a face in their reiatsu. I think Zaraki's "hollow mask" would be that skull, much like Ichigo's mask appeared in his own reiastsu in this fight. This is also the only time we see Ichigo submit entirely to Zangetsu (and in essence, wichigo too). So in the fight here wichigo and Ichigo fight together through old man Zangetsu (since the old man is dominating here). Now this doens't mean Zaraki and Yachiru are vizards, they simply followed the advice Rukia gave Ichigo (to become a stronger person to beat his hollow).

There are some issues with my theory though. Zaraki isn't relying on his zanpakto like Ichigo does. In chapter 218, Wichigo tells Ichigo that the reason he's able to take him over is because Zangetsu and him are one, and whenever Ichigo uses Zangetsu now, Wichigo can come out (since wichigo is dominating Zangetsu at this point). So my weakest part of the theroy stems from...how is his hollow side making him stronger if Zaraki isn't using his zanpaktos strength? We know his zanpakto has power, since it is screaming to Zaraki and only Ichigo and Zangetsu hear it. Perhaps Zaraki defeated his inner demons a long time ago, and instead of devouring his hollow, he simply beat it to the point where the hollow gives him power and doesn't dare think of taking over (which is essentially what happened to Ichigo during the Zaraki fight, wichigo wasn't trying to take over, he gave Ichigo power to win).

Now Zaraki is not the same as a Vizard because from what we know about Vizards, instead of putting their hollow into submission, they embrace/devour it and make it part of them.

What I meant was do you think that the personality of his zanpaktou, like the old man Zangetsu or baboon king Zabimaru, is a pirate? Like the world inside of Kenpachi could be a sea and his zanpaktou's personality could be a skeleton pirate captain sailing on a pirate ship in the middle of it.

I wasn't trying to say that his Bankai sword would be a pirate somewhat like Kokujoutengenmyouoh. I would much rather prefer it to be a sword.
