Looking at Viz's list of titles it distributes in the US, it becomes a bit concerning however, because they mostly do kids shows like Hamtaro and Zatch Bell. Shows like Inuyasha and Naruto, which are aimed at teenagers and are much more violent and bloody, are also produced by Viz and don't seem to terribly torn apart. Yes, the moving blood was removed from Naruto, but as it has already been pointed out by Mr. Papaya, all shows before 10:00 have that edited out as per FCC rules.

I think we can expect the Bleach anime to be very good, considering Viz's track record with TV shows aimed at teenagers. I think we can also expect Bleach to debut on the Adult Swim timeslot, as it deals with more mature themes and has infinitely more "moving blood" than Naruto or Inuyasha. However, if Bleach for some reason gets stuck on the Toonami timeslot, you're all probably in for a decent - albeit disappointing - dub.
And Bleach hitting the toonami slot would be unlikely. Unlike Naruto, it's much more mature in it's themes, not just in violence but sexuality and in general character actions. It's a clear midnight run show, and Viz is going to put it where it belongs, because that will get the best ratings.

Well, that's where I'm not so sure. Bleach is unfortunately in a strange grey area between kidie anime and "adult" anime (as in, for ages 14-25). Bleach would be a little out of place on Adult Swim, a block that has played Scryed, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop and (shudder) Evangelion. However, it'd also be out of place on Toonami, a block that played Dragon Ball Z, Yugioh, Duel Masters, and Hamtaro. I really think it's up in the air.

It is in a gray area, but it's higher level of violence and blood, more reliance on "adult" jokes(plenty of sexual jokes to be had, especially), and even some of it's themes carry it to the adult swim slot.

It would feel kinda out of place amid AS's much more mature shows though, I will agree with that.

Since Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho have both been on Adult Swim, I think Bleach would fit nicely there.

I dunno.......the shows on Adult Swim aren't generally "Great" shows, so much as "Good" shows. What I like about the adult swim shows is that they manage to get good voice actors, as opposed to 4Kids t.v., which is just Bull

Hell, has anyone noticed that the anime is sometimes toned down from the manga? If you're serious, complain about that too.
Have no fear. They will, they will, and do . Endlessly. (Exp. on other forums, like it's the end of the damn world)

The voice acting isn't that bad. In the Japanese version, like half the genins(who are twelve and thirteen) sounded like adults, and Sasuke sounded like he was 40...
I'm amused by this, because Sasuke is voiced by the same seiyuu that voices Ishida. Woot-ness!

I'm looking forward to a dub, because I like english VA,(for the MOST part) and think that if they get like bandai, geneon, funi, ADV (^-^) , ocean studios or something with the high talent groups, I'll be gleeful.

Hope they're peeps that I know of.
    YO!

It's good to know that VIZ will be licensing all of the shonen jump manga's into anime. I really hope they get good voice actors for Hunter X Hunter, though.

i agree. I hate when you are looking forward to an anime being released in america and when you finally get to see it you find that they totally butchered the voice talent. it ruins the picture you have of the character
