    Default Soul Society

    - what happens when a soul dies ? (aka Aizen's "murder" if it was real) would the entity just disappear forever then ? or reborn in the real world ?

    - do people age ? it looks like souls age and die, except people with strong reiatsu seem to live a lot longer. case in point, renji and rukia were still in their teens when their friends died.

    - why do people with reiatsu need food ? in order to fuel their power ? =P

a little sidenote: bleach's theory of afterlife and reincarnation can't apply to real life. they say that souls form a cycle going from soul society and real world, birth and rebirth. however, if that's so, how come the world's population is increasing exponentially?

Imo the answers to your questions are quite simple....

Don't try to find any sense in the Bleach Setting.... it's just a setting where Ichigo and Shinigami fights. Can't really work.

But that's more than enought for the story to go on... sure you don't to think too much...

Because more will be born than die?

    Your logic is flawed.

But according to reincarnation, those who are born don't have completely new souls. Souls are recycled; they get to Earth when babies are born, and leave when people die.

    Than my logic was flawed.

But who thought that bleach life and death theory would apply to our reality? Japan has been influenced more by hinduism than cristianity after all.

in regards to the people that said "don't try to find logic" or something similar, well, personally, i like it when things actually make some sense =P it helps the story and its coherency.

i mean, wouldn't a manga suck if it was just a bunch of random, miscellaneous events that defy anything ?

unless it's a comedy of course... then it's very usual to see something like that
