I guess I just dont like Kubo's poor writing in every chapter. Bankai is supposed to be a last resort. No one wants to try any high level Kido first?
Maybe the Quincy's might be able to absorb it but I don't think they could absorb stuff without trying, meaning surprise hits may work just as good as high level attacks.

Byakuya could've held his own with his Shikai for a bit seeing as how he actually cut that chick with his sword pre bankai release. And wtf Renji?!?! Maybe he might have gotten away with it since we dont know if they could capture multiple bankais at once..but still reckless nevertheless.
Pretty convenient premise for people who's bankais we havent seen like YamaJii, Ukitake, Shishui* and Unohana. Kube really doesnt know what to give those guys does he -_-. O yea, anyone else got a chuckle out of Shishui having to fight yet ANOTHER gunslinger?
All in all though, first time in a long time I've been actually looking forward to new chapters.
I remember the captain commander saying that he wasn't always sick so it shouldn't be a problem reversing his illness. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Orihime tried and wasn't able to since she did encounter something before not even she could reverse.Quote:

DAMN you anime, you changed it. In the anime Captain Commander has a flashback of Ukitake as a student and I am pretty sure his hair was white back then.Quote:
