Bleach: Chapter 489

I actually liked this chapter, Kira showed that he is able to think for himself as opposed to just taking what captains say as gospel. I also liked the little bit of backstory we received, I would have preferred more or at least a bigger lead in to hopefully continue next week. I did cringe when the inevitable Ichigo is the key was revealed. "Whew Ichigo is in Hueco Mundo, thank goodness because he is the only threat to my well laid out plan." Only Ichigo can prevent someone as powerful as me from destroying SS. Do you mean to tell me Ichigo is stronger than the Zero squad and the king.

Well maybe right now he's not stronger than the zero squad or the king, but he problably will be, I mean, he is the main character. They kept refering to him as the "special war potential" so that means he's not quiet there yet.

What I want is to see an actual freaking fight! Every week lately it's just been glimpses of fights and stuff, but no full blown battles shown.

Well, by fighting with Quincies I actually expect some new styles and different strategies coming from Ichigo as well (I know, too much to hope for :D).

So now Quincies can live a 1000 years? Or what did that UeberQuincy do to live so long?
And damn, those poor people...where do they go again if they die?

I never thought I'd say this again; but I liked this chapter a lot. It had some tension for once. I want to know why Ichigo's "special war potential" was so detrimental to the quincies' plans though. I can't see any reason beyond that they may be aware of where his power level was at during his full hollow transformation/bankai mastery.

Yup, first time I said this myself but I too enjoyed this chapter.... maybe because my boy Mayuri played such a pivotal role in it, HAHAHA. Really though, I like the level of conspiracy and intrigue Kube fused into this chapter. My only thoughts now are whether or not Ishida and his dad are involved and why in the hell is Ichigo so special to them that they are glad that he's away so they decided to proceed with their attack? Even the villains kneel down and choke on Ichigo's unstoppable plot c**k.

Also it was kinda retarded that the Quincy Captain unsheathed his sword with his left and but then aim with his right.... looks stupid.

I think Special War Potential is the name of or the purpose of the group of Qunicies fighting in 15 right now and is not what the Quincies think of 15. They were kind of recruiting Aracnars who could "potentially" join their cause.

What I find interesting is Ishida has been present for both of Ichigo's power ups. Are the Quincy afraid that the captains will become vaizard and tap into some hidden power only harvested from Quincy. Also do the Quincy know about vaizards, are they also as special as Ichigo? Why do the souls need to be balanced and if they need to be balanced what is the other side doing to cause the imbalance. It can't be Hueco Mundo all the hollows killed to form an arrancer would have already caused an imbalance, also killing arrancer's would cause an imbalance.

Also why do the captains want to withhold this information from their VC. If they are the number two in command you would think they would tell them, at least the ones who have known each other for years.

So no one is going to say anything about old man failing to do something. I want to know who this mofo is, someone was saying that he could be the old man's son.

You are wrong about one thing: This is not the Zero squad or the King ! Didn't you hear how Mayuri said Genryusai was guilty for failing to killing him? One also has to wonder why did Urahara bring Ichigo to Hueco Mundo? He must have known that Ichigo could be an obstacle to this group taking over SS.
