Deep down in my loins I believe that Ichigo could've handled him with his Shikai alone. After the first couple beams he just said f**k it, its Bankai time. So lackluster his Bankai is. W/e.
Epic line by an epic bearded guy. Security? Bitch I AM the security! I hope he gets taken out or something though cause that would really be more of the volatile catalyst this arc needs. Once those guys about to face him are the top tier of their organization I believe they would stand a chance.

That's what I'm hoping for. It would just add some real tension for once. The fact that SS has Yama is a thought constantly resting in the back of our minds makes the villains' attempts seem ultimately futile (even though they are) and retracts from there being any fear that the good guys might lose. So if Kubo would up the bad dudes power levels, remove Yama from the equation in a permanent fashion, and create some genuine tension by creating multiple bad guys who are threats (not just some god mode douche like Aizen), I think we'd experience a much healthier and more fulfilling storyline. But that could just be me who thinks that...

Ichigo's inner hollow was never something that was resolved. Since it's linked to his shinigami powers (which were merely exhausted by the final getsuga tenshou) and he got those back, his hollow must be back as well. We'll have to see how strong these baddies are, if he needs a power boost I can assure you hollowfication will reappear.
