Note that Ivan and the little dude both have triple-dot motifs on the top-left of their heads. Also that the girl's silly hat could be a transformed mask of some sort. Extremely weird, but we could be looking at characters with split arrancar/shinigami personalities.

Indeed not a good move if he is coming to start trouble. If he is starting trouble he BETTER not be stronger than Ichigo or else all hope will be lost with this manga. It will probably be explained by some BS that Aizen created imperfect vasto lords and they are in fact the real deal. I am also quite disappointed Ichigo was not able to sense this new character before he spoke to them.

I had more hope last week but this chapter just fell back into the routine so now I am officially perturbed. Besides the last...say 3 pages what the hell was this entire chapter about? Some bitch boy's saviors?!? Man, insipid chapter is insipid.

My prediction for the coming arc.

-Ivan is a representative of the new Hueco Mundo. Presumably run by Grimmjow and Nel.
-The new shinigami boy has some unique ability
-chad's powers evolve some more
-the new quincy's are coming back after being scattered throughout other continents
-Hitsugaya replaces Yamamoto at the end of the manga
-We see Aizen again but it will be brief
-Ishida becomes a temporary enemy until he realizes his love for Ichigo

I mean could Ishida really hold a candle to Ichigo if they fought, sure he is a smarter fighter but the power difference is so large it makes up the difference. I still don't see the awe by Hitsu but you might be right. So many better captains ahead of him.

well that Hitsu thing actually kind of makes sense if you compare him to Yama a bit

Yama has the strongest fire zanpakto-hitsu has the strongest ice zanpakto
Yama's been in charge for a crap load of time-hitsu's still a kid so if he did come to be in charge he'd also probably stick around for a long long time
they said something about how there wasn't anyone strong enough yet to replace yama-hitsu is supposedly a genius so he'll probably get at least near yama's level one day
