Bleach: Chapter 464
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/58795317/1
Did anybody else understand what Ishida was trying to say or why he repeated the same thing more than once?
-
I didn't seem to understand what was Ishida's purpose as well either. It seemed to me like he just.....pointed out the blatantly obvious?
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"

So Ishida basically said that he had a guess after the Soul Society arc that Ichigo wasn't the first substitute shinigami, but never brought it up to Ichigo. Basically, Kubo is trying to reiterate that Ishida is still the brainiac of the main group because he knew well before the appearance of arrancars in the story. It's just that it took five pages to reiterate that point.
Kenpachi's bored, Toshiro is dodging and slicing through 32-bit missiles, Rukia is overcome with fluffy cuteness, and Byakuya wanted to face Tsukishima because his speed and cherry blossom petal blades can stop Tsukishima's Book of the End before it can even connect. Renji and Ikkaku don't get a spotlight since their foes are the least interesting of the fullbringers.
-
Hmm, Kubo surprised me with Kenpachi´s enemy´s sudden death
I still think he´ll come back :P
The way I understood it, is that Ishida thinks about the possibility Soul Society knew about Ginjou, but didn´t want to tell Ichigo bout it -> did they have an own agenda? But it´s late, so I might be wrong - I´ll check it tomorrow again!
And lol @ Rukia

Finally a nice chapter this week.
I love how Kenpachi killed that old shitbringer in one hit and going "Boring... I wanna go home now." lol I cant wait and see how badly each shitbringer will get shited on. xD
-
Had the same idea as BlueDemon. Especially since Soul Society did not seem too much surprised by having a previous shinigami representative. Another skeleton in the closet, I guess.
-
lol, you said 'skeleton in the closet' and Ginjo has a neat skeleton like suit on right now... haha
Alright, kidding aside. Kubo is totally playing to the strengths of soul society and making each of these fights pretty damn easy, gonna have to say. I mean... Kenpachi murders the old dude, didn't see THAT coming[/sarcasm]. But what if he did go against Tsukishima? Wouldn't that make for a better fight? I mean, dude is quick and his attack will turn you against everyone you know pretty much. But of course, Byakuya has got to fight the guy that he is well suited for, and as usual, is going to own his opponent. Sense? This makes all of it in the world. Toshiro is fighting a guy whose attitude resembles his own, pretty sure the unleashing of his bankai will obliterate the gameboy dude, and then destroy the whole in-game experience they are all having. And Rukia with that one chick and her plushies, come on... Kubo? You know you wrote it just so that the captains/lieutenants will murder their respective opponents with little to no effort... and if effort is given then it will be Madarame, Ichigo and Ishida, and Rukia who really get beat up (Madarame always gets jacked up... it's what he lives for).
Still love this series though, but I just hope that Kubo is going somewhere with all this.

The more I think about it... the more I refuse to believe that old guy is dead so easy without Kenpachi taking off his patch and without him using ANY ability that is relevant to his Time ability. Hus ability might bring him back and make Kenpachi excited for being able to face an opponent he can kill over and over or some shit like that. You know how he's a sadist.

I wouldn't be surprised if Yukio found out that the old man was killed and respawned him like he did in an earlier chapter.
-
Then of course theres that little knuckle punch kid who's apparently a monster... I could see him going up against Ikkaku and or Renji though.
