He also then decided to try and use a direct attack with it, which also did not work. So is he copying Naruto because he's trying to see how to use his newly acquired weapon? If that's copying, then Naruto is copying Dragonball because he can jump high, or have super fast speed.
I seriously don't understand the comparison that people are making to Naruto. His Bankai came WAY before Naruto learned how to use Rasenshuuriken, and there's no surprise that it would look like that.
