The next day, at school

Ichigo asks Orihime if she knows anything about Chad.

Then do you want to visit him together?

Ichigo declines.

Night.

Ichigo goes somewhere to meet with Ginjou.

A mansion in ruins?

When you ride the elevator, you'll need that card, says Ginjou.

Ginjou: Before we go in, let me tell you that our main objective is to make you regain your shinigami powers.

I had expected that ichigo would have "human" power instead of revert back to be a shinigami, that won't happen..

Ichigo getting human powers like his friends would be a step back imo, how do you go from Demi-God to human with power up. I would rather he gets his shinigami powers back but instead of having that gaint knife looking zanpakuto have a normal sealed one and a new looking release with a release command (even though he doesn't need it), which is possible because he has completed Jizen training and already has a new looking Bankai, he should also learn some Kidou.

I know right? It's not like his friends with humans powers are strong anyways. Heck Ichigo's little sister might be stronger than all of them.

I think that exurcion group is responsible for that attack on Ishida. They knew that attacking Ichigo's friends would make him want to get his powers back. And they seem to have an interest in Ichigo's family.

I had hope for a complete change, leaving soul society and the hollow world behind to move on completely new stuff, just to see how that would be lol

I see what your saying, but even if he did get human powers he would still be surrounded by shinigami (Isshin, Urahara and Yoruichi) and even hollows, and SS would need to be brought up sometime we have no idea what happened to the Vizards or the Captain spots that need to be filled and the Royal Guards haven't been introduced.

Ichigo getting back his Shinigami powers is for the best. He might not be back on the same level that he was but he will gradually build back up to his power level as the time goes by. If Ichigo got human powers, then started getting strong to the point where he seemed stronger than how he was with his shinigami powers then we'll all kall almighty bs on that 1 as well.

Not necessarly stronger, just different.
A shonen that breaks the logic of "more time = more strength until over 9 000" would be "original" in a way. But i didn't really think that would happen. I just hoped for something "different"
