Kubo is actually my favorite artist in shonen Jump, despite how minimalistic his art is nowadays, he stills achieves an awesome sense of style in his characters that i love, which was always the main interest in Bleach. Tousen is still the coolest black character i've ever seen in manga.

Kishimoto art is pretty terrible nowadays and One Piece's "original" artwork never really worked for me. And really, the "surprised faces" is also used very often by both of these authors so i don't why is such a used argument against Kubo. Everyone does it.

^ No, seriously. I've never seen someone use it as much as Kubo does.
But that's also because i've never seen someone other than him use the same scheme for each single fight.

Truth. The "Nani" face is an intricate part of manga and your true Death EVERY mangaka uses it but as golden said the way its used in Bleach is redundant and cliche. Since Bleach fights are tug of war like, due to unexpected releases and hidden abilities for said releases etc, its understandable why characters get surprised but since i've been reading Bleach for almost 4-5 years now it just never changes. In most other manga when a character is fighting a strong opponent and that strong bad guy uses a surprising move they do get surprised (naturally) but then they quickly move on with making up a plan to beat it or something of that nature but in Bleach its always a protagonist using a big attack then giving a speech (which they would later egret) about how his powers are better or his release is more superior etc etc etc. The Hitsu vs Halibel fight is a good example of this. Its just Kube's style; some people enjoy it more than others while some just endure it.

Gin seems like he's ready to make another surprise move soon enough. I really dont think he'll interfere with Aizen but sooner or later he's gonna have a few words with Hitsu, just because they have some unknown past. I wonder if Kube'll have Unohana heal Matsumoto to enough so she can get back into the picture?? Kube's prob not having Gin do much cause he needs Kira, Mats and Hitsu to play a part in his defeat.

When was Aizen cut by Shinji? I must have blocked it out because of all the crap Bleach is filled with recently.

^ Right after he released his Shikai. He was explaining to Aizen how it works and then attack. He got in ONE blow, and got Aizen dismissed his Shikai as shitty with the next one.

Shinji didn't explained his sword's power, he made use of the fact that Aizen wasn't familiar to the properties of the inverted effect and its full extent. Hell, he was even surprised that Aizen guessed that everything was inverted, including forward and backward.

But yeah, that's the only hit Aizen suffered so far.
