Ending was bad. Animation was really nice. Some of the fights were cool. But I fast forwarded through the last 15 min.

1st movie is still the best.
etufo: HS is most likely going to die sooner or later. Who will kill the cool character killer?
Popo: well, obviously going by that logic, HS will have to kill himself...
I also fast forwarded some of the movie I started to fall asleep at one point, the best part was near the end when Yama-Jii, Shunsui and Ukitake released and the part were Urahara saved SoiFon and he was just standing there in his Shingami clothes.

Good think you mentioned Urahara because I forgot to bring up the fact that he was IN SOUL SOCIETY. Wasn't he banned from there. Didn't it show how he couldn't enter his own portal near the beginning of the series.

In the flash back arc, we see Soifon taking Urahara away, most likely to the human world.
In the SS arch (at least in the show, not sure of the manga), after he sends Ichigo and the others through, he reaches out to the gate with his finger, and it gets "zapped" or repelled away, and he has a negative look on his face.
In FTB, Urahara claims he's always known now to get back when the old guy asks "how did you manage to return".
He wasn't sent into exhile, he ran away. They must have figured out a way to block his spirit particles from something or something. Or used magic pixie dust. Who knows. They're effing spirit-things that use swords and have computers-things that use piano keys instead of a keyboard. Per chapter 97, Urahara's punishment was to be "stripping of powers and eternally banished to earth".
So... until the manga says otherwise, I don't believe Urahara can return to SS. Of course, I have to wonder why. He seems to be able to do just about anything (and can get anything it seems). Also, if they can "banish" him from returning even after he escaped, why can Soifon go back and forth? Is it because her cat form completely changes her reitsu?
Too many questions, too many holes.
Comments on the movie: almost seemed like a throw-back to the SS arc. Would have liked to see Ichi fight more captains in their bankai form (especially captain whitehead). Plot wasn't very good. And I'm tired of seeing Kenpachi do his routine of being crushed by something and come back hours later not pretending he's One Eye'd Willy. Also, Ichi pulling out his mask only once, and for such a shitty reason that didn't do anything, really pissed me off.

I watched all the fights with Ichigo against the other shinigami, and skipped all the other events completely. The second movie was more entertaining than this one (I haven't seen the first one).
Urahara shouldn't have been able to come back. I though Byakuya would have been good enough to find evidence and trigger a remembrance than urahara...
oh well. the universe in the movies is different than the anime and manga
