Not to mention Tousen seems to be a Beast when it comes to Kidou and shit. He isn't weak by all means, Zaraki could make anyone look like his bitch. Really, if he wasn't such a sadistic demon with the tenacity and stamina of a cracked out PitBull then Tousen would've killed him. And as kid said, Tousen didn't cut anyone down, he just got the jump on Shin who was blinded by rage.

Tousen is far from weak if he didn't spend so much time talking about his Bankai and taking little slices out of Zaraki he would have killed him with just a swing to the head. Don't think because Shinji has been a captain longer and now a Vizard that Tousen will be a push over. He had a Bankai before he was even a VC, Aizen is a genius with a genius as a 1st lieutenant and a 2nd lieutenant who thinks what he's doing is for justice, oh and has a hax Bankai.

Hmmm was it really blind rage, I think if that was the case he would of went at Aizen the second he saw him. I don't think rage was his motivation as much as perhaps anger, yeah slim difference just my opinion. I wouldn't blame him wanting to wipe that smug look off Aizen's face though.

When Tousen finally die try to kill Kenpachi, he noticed that Kenpachi managed to avoid a fatal blow every time as soon as the blade touched him.
We can't be sure, but it could also be possible that Kenpachi could pull the same thing off if Tousen would've went for his head with his first blow.

You never know. Just like you don't know if there wouldn't be two Tousen's now, had Kenpachi slashed him with two hands.
There's too much specualation. Was Tousen holding back, did he get a massive power boost since then? There's just no way we can be sure, so most of the time it comes down to who you like better.

Suffice it to say that I like Kenpachi better and thus believe in him.

I don't even like Tousen but that doesn't mean i'm gonna be biased, no matter what character it is even if it's one of my favorites against someone I hate i'm never bias.

Same. Zaraki is def on a higher standard in my book but I believe if Tousen had went straight for a one hit stab through the heart the minute he did his Bankai while he had the element of surprise over Ken chan he would've been dead (does anyone important die in bleach though??), just like he did to Kensei back in the day.

But we're gettin into a "vs thread" mode here so this banter about who's stronger than who is irrelevant.

I don't think it's a matter of people underestimating Tousen. I think people underestimate Zaraki cause got beat by Ichigo. Which honestly didn't make too much sense, even now, when it happened at the time that it did. Tousen is probably much stronger than he was anyways when he fought Kenpachi.

I don't know anyone that underestimate Zaraki for that Ichigo fight, it was a draw (with him using one hand Lol).

I remember there being a lot of speculation as to why Ichigo would win against Zaraki when he's shown to be very powerful from the beginning. Then he goes and loses to Ichigo who at that point, not enough experience at all, was comparatively weaker than an actual captain. Plot with him and all

Edit: Goes back to bad writing. lol. The more I think about it the more I realize that had no idea where he was going. Just a general idea
