Technically they didn't flee, according to the anime they were taken while still unconscious in there new hollow state by Urahara. I don't recall anyone calling them criminals though so isn't your link to Isshin calling them criminals mispoken. Yes they were to be destroyed but that isn't enough, in the vet world if a dog develops rabies he isn't a criminal until he does something. Whether the dog has done something it is still customary to have the animal destroyed. If anyone was considered a criminal by SS it would be the ex-shinigami Urahara who was supposed to be banished to earth for a 100 years with his powers stripped of him, per the order of Central Room 46.Quote:

Interesting in the manga it says Urahara would be eternally banished to earth, and that the experiments would be dealt with as hollows. How do you figure Urahara would get a lighter sentence when he is the one that kidnapped them and took them to earth, they were only failed experiments in the councils eyes.

My link was to show that Urahara (and Isshin) did not know where the Visored were and that they did not keep in contact with each other. And if you want to get technical, Soul Society is the law of the spiritual world, they ordered to have Shinji and the others dealt with as hollow. Since the Visored fled from the law by hiding in the human world in their gigais, that made them criminals. I know I worded it strangely but when I put 'wanted criminals' I meant as they are now.Quote:
