Applying logic to Inoue's shield in a manga called Bleach isn't really a great idea. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if Kubo uses the shield to explain why Inoue and Ishida aren't dead, because it seems like a trivial issue. I do agree with you all about Inoue's shield being a weak piece of crap, but with the inconsistent power levels in this manga, it wouldn't surprise me if Inoue suddenly got a power-up shield because she wants to protect her friends.
And that is why I had to post about the seemingly stupid shield.
i find it weird how the power ups fall out of the effing sky in Bleach. When the hell is the last time you saw anybody in bleach train to get stronger? something legitimate for a power up. and someone else scraming your name every three seconds shouldnt cause it. and speaking of it,ichigo won his last two fights because orihime screamed out his name.

To answer your question; the last time was when Ichigo trained with the Vizards. Funny how much he's improved using resolve rather than actual scientifically proven training that actually produces realistic results.

At least Dragonball had some kind of story between the fighting. Bleach has been one constant fight ever since.........I can remember. Since they came to Hueco Mundo try counting how many fights there were. Probably over a dozen.
When it comes to orihime's shield.
They usually said something about how her powers are linked to her emotions and such.
So if she is feeling constipated then it's strong enough to save them from death cero i guess.
Also wondering if ichigo's hollow has crossed over to arrancar release or some nonsense to explain this power up.
