I donīt think itīs exactly pride per se, itīs a factor in this yeah but itīs not what is really driving Ulquiorra to take Ichigoīs stubbornness personally.

To him the person that realizes they are weaker should just give up and surrender to the inevitable.
This is where Ulquiorra failed. He underestimates the power of Ichigoīs Willpower. The willpower that helped him draw with Kenpachi. The Willpower that helped him achieve Bankai in 2 days because time was up. He underestimates the power of love, friendship, etc....the whole shonen dribble.
There was a very important talk that Ulquiorra had with Orihime before this battle, "what my eyes can't see doesn't exist". This is what is frustrating Ulquiorra. You can't see love. You can't see willpower and determination. Ulquiorra has probably never seen willpower strive over pure strength. Which should be impossible to him and yet heīs losing in that regard.
Itīs a somewhat similar relationship he has with Orihime but Ulquiorra usually manages to talk his way out and shut her up, Ichigo doesnīt stop just there.

He had a hole the size of a baby's head in his chest and laid on the ground for what could have been hours.

and just cause he looks dead means he is dead?...he looked more stunned to me anyways but besides that I'm pretty sure Grimmjow had a good idea of the state ichigo was in....yes he was dying, but he wasn't dead i'm sure Grimmjaw could sense that in him. i don't know how he fairs up agaisn't this new hole....have to wait and see...

Btw, i still think ichigo sux badly even after he got his vizard form. For some reason he cant use that vizard form to the fullest. For example, if u see carefully, ichigo not even once manage 2 do some consecutive getsuga tenshou, while the hollow ichigo managed to do that during the fight with Byakuya. And u can see how fast and different the hollow ichigo move, its like fighting while dancing...damn cool.
But then again we cant blame ichigo for being sux becoz he never got the chance to train his bankai and vizard form while we already been enlighten in the story that this 2 form need to be train *bankai at least 10years as stated by Byakuya* to perfect it.
Its already quite impressive that he managed to reach this far with a couple of month training.

As Ulquiorra has pointed out, Ichigo is denying his connection to his hollow side. He is trying to use the hollow increase in power only on top of his shinigami power, and not embracing it.
Ichigo is a shinigami-hollow hybrid, not a shinigami with a hollow boost. The sooner Ichigo embraces his hollow nature he'll be able to use the full scope of the combined power. That was something Ulquiorra was aluding to often enough.
In any case, I just want to see the berserker come out and destroy Ulquiorra. Ichigo doesn't have a chance himself.
That entire thing was subjective bullshit; but, I'm giving you points for that last part.

True enough, I guess I oversimplified it. You know, i'm beginning to wonder just how Kubo will get him out of this. For some reason I wouldn't be surprised if it was neither Ogichi or a captain that bails him out. I implied earlier in the thread that it's possible a vaizard could show up, but I don't know.

For the first time in a while, i'm not really sure where the next chapter will go.
dno if any1 has mentioned, but aint it about time the vaizard's make an entrance?
