I skipped reading Bleach for a while, and when I came back after 5 chapters, nothing progressed at all. Same old same old. it's like: bankai, cero, bankai, cero, ok, let's toss the coin to see who's gonna die this time.

Sadly that's true.
I could probably go back and re-read the last 30 chapters in a row and pretty much nothing would happen story wise. It's little more than skipping from one fight to another.

I'm pretty open and can always enjoy a manga. At least I've never really read one that I thought was a waste of my time. I still enjoy Bleach and will continue to read it, but it slowly turned into the manga that's least exciting for me, ever since the Hueco Mundo arc started. I hope Kubo get's back on track after this arc is over.

You know what the problem is. Filler shit. I'd rather skip a lot of fights to get on with the damn story. So many times I felt there were too many useless fights. Did Soi fon fighting Ggio really need that long. How long do we have to go through Oomeada showing his douchebaggory and then coming back and just basically saying that hes just a fool when it comes to fights. Ishida and Cirruci.

I know what you mean I had stopped watching Bleach for probably a year, I think the last episode I watched was when Ichigo had defeated Grimjaw and was getting beat up by Noitora. I love how they had like two episodes showing the same fight that had already ended all over again. I was like didn't I just see this fight since I skipped the filler completely. Since they have introduced a new filler during Ichigo's latest fight I guess I will stop watching the anime again until like the end of the year.

I never watched the anime after the SS arc, and for good reason. Once the anime catches up to the manga, it becomes 98% filler dominated.

I actually stopped watching all anime for a while, and just picked it up again recently and this is what I find:

Its actually bearable to watch the fights in Bleach and skip all the other stuff. The main reason is that due to how little drawings was done in the manga, its cool to see it in the anime. I cant say the same for Naruto...they make the fight in the anime seem lengthy, and it was well covered in the manga. One piece, you want to see both when u have the time. Same amount of fun for the manga and anime for One piece.

when is it the last chapter we see ichigo fight or atleast ichigo's friends(chad, ishida n orihime)?i thought bleach was around ichigo n his school friend only..

why we need to see other captains and espada fight instead of focus on main char?or even those espada and captains FB..i guess it might not necessary..

lets not compare Blach and OP..both should have differences or shounen will be TOO stereotype..

@terasiel-that final fantasy wepon doesnt really shoot does it?the trigger causes it to vibrate and somehow cut better.so the swing out cylinder is useless....

Agree, there is always Cero and Bankai. The fighting is like all the same that it's like no new move ever show like Ichigo has only one special move and the greatest impression would be how powerful they are like destroying like pillar and so on. Mine complaint is do they ever had a life instead of fighting? I watch the anime and it doesn't look like they ever had a day off from fighting. Aside that their sword fighting doesn't look impressive since I can't see their style or just the same like swinging horizontal whereas the Tsubasa Chronicle anime where the two Shaoran fought shows various move (I impressed that Clamp created XXXHolic, CardCaptor Sakura and Angelic Layer made a good move) or Yamamoto from Hitman Reborn made unique swordman style.
