Ulquiorra's name origin revealed.
I realized a few weeks ago that Ulquiorra Cifer was probably inspired by the devil when I noticed that the phrase "The Antagonizer" is another way of saying Satan, and then that "Cifer" is the latter two thirds of the word "Lucifer", so I had a pretty good idea where his release and theme were going. The 345 spoilers that have been out today confirmed my guess, so I decided to do a bit more sleuthing.
Now, guess what I found out: The original Latin phrase from which the name Lucifer comes is "lucifer qui mane oriebaris" ("the star that rose in the morning").
lucifer qui mane oriebaris
LuCifer Qui (mane) Orie(baris)
Anyway, that's all I had to say. That and that I'm amazed I haven't heard of anyone else noticing this before, because it's been right under our noses the whole fricking time.

Uryuu freaky, pale and geeky,
how do your powers grow?
"With gloves and scars and silver stars
and swords that I shoot from a bow,
yes, swords that I shoot from a bow."
Actually I knew this already thats why I said he's release will be a Bat or something more human, so mabe just the wings of one.
Ulquiorra Schiffer (ウルキオラ・シファー, Urukiora Shifā?) is the Cuatra Espada, signified by the "4" tattooed to his chest. His name stems from that of a furniture designer named Patricia Urquiola.
Since apparently Ulquiorra´s release is demonic in design, you may be on to something erachima, there´s also a popular theory which says that much like Grimmjow that´s obviously a deformation of Grimjaw, his trademark feature, Ulquiorra is the deformation of "El Que Llora" which means "He who cries" in spanish.
Well now there's quite a difference between the Prince of Darkness and Pat the interior decorator.
erachima was talking more about the meaning of his name when broken down, but yeah all the Espada names come from architects and designer.

It´s quite interesting to see where autors get their naming ideas from ^^
So many competing and parallel theories... I like the one with "El Que Llora", seems the most appropriate.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Actually, Ulquiorra is based off of the spanish "El Que Llora" which means "He who cries"
