A free hit means a lot. It completely wrecks our preconceived "power levels" and the author is allowed to do whatever he wants.

Granted even without that he could just write the background characters back in to save the day. My point is that Ishida wouldn't have beaten Yammi alone and without it so that's what makes it a deus ex machina.

Hum....i personally think that Ishida is MUCH stronger than Yammi, that´s why the mine was just for the "cool" factor.

Ishida´s incredibly underrated for some reason.

Uhhh.. We just saw one of ishida's Arrows stick in yammi's arm like a pin on a pin-cushion and you say that he's "MUCH" stronger than yammi??? Nahhhhh

And he just remarked nonchalantly that it didn´t managed to pierce him, without a care in the world. He´s not in a situation of pressure believe me.

Plus he´s not using Seele Schneider for the moment.

I like how you think that Ishida is MUCH stronger then Yammi when we've only seen Yammi fight Ichigo in Bankai, Hitsugaya who even said with his limit lifted he needs to go Bankai, and Urahara who could have killed him with his Shikai, I dont think Ishida power comes close to any of them so to say he is Much stronger, I dont think so, stronger yes but MUCH stronger no.

Ishida isn't underrated its just he has done anything big to make him look like he's that much of a threat to anyone, the last time we saw him do anything big was when he went up against Mayuri and he had to remove his glove to use the Quincy Final Form.

I miss that Final Form it looked so much better then this one now.

Ichigo easily cut his arm, Yorouchi kicked his ass, Hitsugaya is....just shitty and Urahara could probably make most of the people in the series his bitch.

It´s the fact that it´s implied that Ishida could have one shotted Szayel if not for his ability to negate people abilities make me think that yes, Ishida is far superior to Yammi.

As I just said Ishida's power dont come close to any of them.

If you didn´t noticed, Ishida kicked Mayuri´s ass, people tend to forget that Ishida´s main fight and victory was against a Captain, which he didn´t killed on his own decision.

This is why Ishida is underrated.

And Hitsugaya is a joke of a Captain, i would choose Ishida over him any day.
