Who is the strongest espada

I guess Stark`s number is 1, 2 is for Halibel and Barragan Luisenbarn is truly just a little weakly can-do-nothing.

Maybe the real #1 is not even among them.

i was thinking about this for a long time.. if Nell (the former 3rd espada) was replaced, isn't her number on her back supposed to be gone/removed (like what happened to Grimmjaw) ?

She wasn´t replaced - at least not "officially".
She was just ambushed and abandoned....so there was no one who could have removed her number...
