The battle begins with Barragans fraccion fighting the 4 vice captains (he probs means Ikkaku and Yumi in this but I'm not sure). They introduce themselves. Kira becomes enraged upon the mention of Gin's name.

why talk talk talk and no fight fight fight????

Yep, this chapter is all talk and comic relief.

What we learn, however, is that the fraccion of these espada consider themselves very strong "I will fight at the level of vice-captain" and their master Barragan too desribes them as dragons.

Does that mean that the fraccion remaining in the Soul Society will be as strong as regular captains and their masters stronger still?

I also think that the vice-captain will fight hard, but be defeated and will only be saved with the help from Vaizards. 69 vice-captain meets 69 ex-captain: "You saved me once again!"

after an interesting flashback arc, we're back to continuous 1-v-1's. i hope at least the action is good.

Good time to see Hisagi's shikai in action.

The match ups are starting to look OK

Well at least I'm not the only one who said they were small fry. Barragan thinks so too.

I think even a vice captain (and as I remember not all of them are) can't beat a fraccion without bankai, which I doubt they all have.

And it makes some sense that some of them might lose. Just because the numbers don't add up. If the vaizards are on the side of SS and fight against Aizen too (would be found if the split up and both sides would get some vairards), we'll have a lot of good guys against a few bad.

Especially if the top 4 espada are VastoLordes which they certainly are.
