Urahara probably isn't a Vizard. I don't think Urahara used hougyoku on himself? Urahara created the hougyoku to help people. It seems he has no ambitions, to become any stronger.
it's the same for me.vaizard is the broken mask anyway.by gaining hollow power means that you have to go through hollowfication, any shinigami can be turn into hollow but only vaizard can regain their consciousness by breaking the mask and thus regain the control of their body, and gain control of that hollow power.

so what caused the hollowfication in the first place?that gas that urahara had just works on souls not shinigami........
We have seen this before, when Ichigo was regaining his powers with Urahara. My guess this is the same concept with the pit that accelerated the process of either becoming a hollow/shinigami.

So after Urahara is banished, Aizen will have as much time as he can with all the research left behind by Urahara. Considering Urahara already blurted out the process of Hollowification, Aizen will want all of his research, then he learns about the Hougyoku.
I believe, as the current vaizards are being cured, Aizen is rushing back to SS, and then he will tip Genryuusai or someone else to the 12th division. The current vaizards will be seen in their hollow/shinigami form and they too will be banished.
this is jst my prediction.
I think people are forgetting that we are often limited to one point of view at a time when being given information. This time we are seeing things from Kisuke's point of view.
Another big factor that is being built upto I think is that Kisuke made a bad choice in freeing Mayuri to help him with research. I think we will learn that the young Urahara didn't believe in 'evil scientist' and paid the price because Mayuri betrayed him to Aizen for test subjects or samples.
Besides, old Yami had to feel something wasn't right if Kisuke has remained in business and free that long with his reiatsu in tact.
I also think Aizen had something to do with the promotion of the squad 12 captain before Kisuke (remember the act Aizen put on when he found out about the promotion, it reminded me of his act when Ichigo and his gang broke into the Seritai)
And there is another player we're over looking that still doesn't fit with me... Gin.
He seems to be pure evil from the start. What sick roll does Gin really play in this? What is he really?
On more missing piece of the puzzle... the whole Isshin/Kisuke link... when exactly did it happen and how. I believe that will play a big part before everything is said and done. There are to many unanswered questions and too many things that have been said/shown that don't seem to be in full or proper context. For now I will keep reading simply to have my endless questions answered.
Necroing 'latest chapter' threads that arent the actual latest chapter is never a good idea >_>
