^ummmm, that's Urahara (currently sly, witty former-shinigami-captain, now-shopowner) being the ditsie newbie, Unohana's female, black-haired and the calm current captain of the 4th squad. Biiig difference there.
The Vaizards being former Shinigami captains and lieutenants... Quite suprising despite the fact that it's been anticipated. Aizen being a charismatic guy 100 years ago, not suprising at all.
