Now I get the awesomeness of the Kendo reference. (not to mention the title "The Undead - 4" is awesome and the picture at the end.)

There really is a massive difference between swinging something one handed, and usually at the end of your reach, and swinging it with a full body's worth of force down the middle like that. This could be the end.

How the hell did Ichigo ever beat Kenpachi. And why didn't Kenpachi bust out the Kendo against Ichigo?

Differences in motivation I'd imagine. Ichigo wasn't going to become much of a challenge if he kept fighting harder he just let himself bleed to death.

I think he was holding the sword two handed at the end of their fight. Makes sense anyway, a fully healthy Ichigo could probably do as good or better than Kenpachi is doing against Nnoitora right now.

it would make sense that the old man he was talking about is Yamamoto.....he probably thought that kenpachi needed some training since he had practically no "real" fighting training

Ichigo "beat" Kenpachi only because of plot device. I think that has been beaten to death a long time ago.

Two handed usually means double the power.

I think Nori is gonna be cleaved in two now....wait, Kenpachi is enjoying this, so I'm thinking he will chop off one sides arms first.

Yamaji probably said to Kenpachi that he needed to learn some sword-art and shunpo since he's no good with Kidou or hand to hand combat.

Theoretically, it could mean much more than double. One outstretched arm swinging down is much different than a sword being held by both arms and swung down with an entire body's movement.

He said Yamamoto made him do it/learn it.. Not necessarily that he was taught BY yamamoto..

Lol if Yamamoto is gonna insist on Kenpachi doing some Kendo i doubt he is gonna let some instructor do it, because i doubt Kenpachi would take advice from anyone other than him. As he is on par with all the other captains it would be a sign of weakness for him being taught by them and any instructor teaching a captain thats just laughable. And oh yeah F*CK YEAH!!! Loved that chapter!
