lets just put it like this: the power hierarchy in Bleach is messed up. Kubo value the "Cool" factor more than he values "substance". its been like that since the begining. Even Mayuri who Ishida nearly killed, killed an Espada that Ishida was having problem with and with the excuse "I put something inside Ishida monitoring him"....LOL....who knows, bleach is just not the great manga it once was. Also that Espada that Byakuya defeated seems to be able to create some fast ass shunpo that leaves after images just like Ichigo...

I cant even get mad over it anymore, So lets just patiently wait for the end....

    To DollarBill:

I actually think that Bleach is a more realistic manga. The main character isn't the strongest one. Please remember that when Ishida shot Mayuri, he was in "Final Quincy Form" by breaking his glove.

I really don't remember Ichigo leaving images from his speed. He does however "flicker" though.

Yeah Ishida had to go supernova and lose all his powers to beat Mayuri.
This whole arc is just made of suck, the premise of it being about another kidnapping signified that from the get go. At least Byakuya and Kenpachi are back in it for now I guess.

Wow. ok thnx alot people, i think it makes a little more sense to me now. i can only judge ichigo's power level depending on Kenpachi's fight with Nnoitora right now. If Kenpachi absolutely tools Nnoitora, strength levels will make NO sense to me since Ichigo has been training with the vaizard's and was still in deep trouble with #6 Grimmjaw. Kenpachi must be put at his absolute limit against Nnoitora (sorry Tousen, i cant agree with you saying Kenpachi lost to Ichigo because he was having too much fun. At the end of the fight, he was begging his blade to give him its name, and was pretty much crying because he wanted to get stronger.)

Okay on second thought he wasn't crying or begging, but his smile certainly does fade after he says "it doesn't work after all". For someone like Kenpachi to ask for the name of his blade meant that he was giving it his all and that he wasn't playing around (in the end at least)

Yeah, but one would assume he would start training and trying to get the name of his sword after everyone left SS. So if he's is stronger now it is because he trained as he said: "I want to get stronger", I mean, after a statement like that I doubt he would sit around waiting for some miracle to happen.

Well, since the they diminish each others strength, there should be a limit to how strong he could have grown. Untill the day he finally learns how to 'fight with the sword (as in a partnership)' and not just using it bluntly. He wont grow any stronger.

I think Kenpachi could get stronger even without learning the name of his Zanpakutou. The sword took some of his strength because he flatly refused to recognize it and work together. Seeing Ichigo revived and then his strength Kenpachi changed his mind. I suppose just by changing the attitude and treated the Zanpakutou differently he became stronger.

That said, I do think that he has made more progress than that seeing how he fights on equal footing with Noitora (we will see in next chapters which of them is stronger though).
