But I think that they might be wearing mouth guards, doesn't make it look any less weird though...

I'm still surprised Kubo still has some creativity putting the characters of Bleach into unusual circumstances such as posing in casual clothing.

This chapter is going to give me nightmares. Zomari taking control of Rukia's dead body is going to haunt me forever.

I can already read it...One of Byakuya's speech things will go like this:

"Feel honored my enemy. For you will be destroyed by my Bankai."

Rukia being controlled reminded me of the Bounto filler eps in the anime...guess KT watches it after all.

Possibly; but that's really not reason enough. Unless mind control, and various other similar abilities, were unheard of to him until the fillers for his story's anime came out.
