Thread: Ichigo's + Rukia's Zanpakutou Relation

If there's a thread concerning this, I apologize.

(((Below here are definite spoilers to those that aren't up-to-date in the world of Bleach, so read at your own risk!)))

What I've decided to share, was a theory between Ichigo's and Rukia's Zanpakutou. Pardon my English if some of it doesn't make sense, I'm in my third year learning

Ok, SURELY you guys noticed that Rukia's Zanpakutou (Sode No Hirayuki... or something) is WHITE, and Tenza Zangetsu (I will start calling it TZ from now on) is BLACK. But, Tenza Zangetsu is Ichigo's Bankai, and SnH is Rukia's Shikai. Now, I have four theories on this matter

1. What I've come to believe is that Tenza Zangetsu might become Ichigo's Shikai in some point in the distant future (thanks to Urahara), and thus leaving Ichigo another upgraded attempt for a new Bankai... (Because seeing how it is, Ichigo gets owned by two Espadas (technically) and Aizen is alot stronger than both of them) So here's a visual on this theory.



BEFORE
Ichigo --> Zangetsu --> Tenza Zangetsu
Rukia --> Sode No Hirayuki --> ?????

AFTER
Ichigo --> (Tenza)* Zangetsu --> New Bankai
Rukia --> Sode No Hirayuki --> ?????
*"Tenza" might be removed from the name according to my theory


2. Second, if the first theory turns out to be hard fact, then I think Ichigo might be able to don his mask in his new "shikai" form now, assuming his sword stays Black all the time. Meaning, Ichigo can don his mask without releasing his Zanpakutou technically (Viards currently known, can don their mask without any releases of their zanpakutou).


3. Third, (This theory may sound more of a joke, but it doesn't hurt to put it out there.... XD!)
Seeing how nearly everything's possible in the world of Bleach, I theorize that TZ and SnH might have a trigger ability. By trigger ability, I mean fusion (Yes, welcome to DBZ). NOT the shinigami themselves (that would be weird. o.0), but their weapons.

How? Because of the colors of the two Zanpakutou (Kinda like when Ichigo was fighting his inner Hollow, the Hollow-Ichigo had a different color-schemed Zangetsu). Rukia's is white, and Ichigo's is black. The two Zanpakutou look very identical except for the bottoms of it.

Once obtained, Ichigo (of course is the wielder) will possess all of Rukia's Snow/Rain power along with his current ones giving him a Super-Zanpakutou so to speak.


4. Fourth (not really a theory, but....), considering that Ichigo + Rukia were friends since the beginning, one can predict something like this might happen... (It's not some huge coincidence Rukia's blade is white, and Ichigo's black is it?)

1.we've already been told that bankai is IT.the limit.after that you're no longer pure shinigami...
2.ichigo can do the mask in shikai too,thats what he does while training.the reason he uses bankai and mask is simply because,like you said,5 of the espada,not ot mention aizen can kick his ass wen he has bankai+mask.
3.why would they fuse?they are two separate zanpakutou....and even if they did,one of them will be weaponless....
4.have you noticed,in their sealed form at least,all zanpkatou are black and white(or silvery-the edge)

well its not like his theroies are ALL stupid,
ichigo is a special case(being the main character)

In that a few reasons

-his sword never turns back into its original form, the one he got from taking rukia's powers, i feel because those were originally rukia's "powers"

-And that his "shikai" is more or less all HIS own powers and technically its his swords original form therafter

-Even his bankai as is, doesn't hold up to anyone very long, he only beat byakuya because of his hollow's intervention,
he only gets faster, and only for a little while, and everyone seems to keep up regardless.

-so in the effect of his "bankai" ability being so puny, it doesn't really seem like bankai, in the FACT (from databook)bankai is supposed to be a huge, or at least a really super powerful, pumped up version of its original and most lethal form. That rule, of which ichigo is the only exception, alone makes me think thats not really ichigo's true bankai.

Maybe because ichigo has only ever talked to his sword like, three times, before it turned into a more hollow version of himself. he did not learn all of its abilities, or power etc etc.

hey he actualy haves a point... not with the White/Black thing, that doesn;t make sense... but Ichigo is going to get a new power up, and a new bankai is not a far guess... probably a Vizard bankai >_> you know using both the Hollow and Shinigami powers to achieve a new and more more powerfull release >_>

and our dear mangaka is not exactly very original with his ideas >_>

Thank you all for your comments, flames etc. Again, they're just theories. I'm not saying they're gonna happen or anything. Just putting it out there for people like you to criticize

The only way Ichigo can improve now is by training hard and learn all the capabilities of his bankai/hollow power.

Ichigo has one bankai only, maybe he doesnt control it well yet... but his black sword IS his ONLY Bankai.

^agree. two bankais is an unfair advantage over everyone else.

i dont think ichigo has 2 bankai's but i do believe he has not truly mastered his bankai.

Maybe his bankai has another form that he hasnt learned yet.

Just like byakuya he had his bankai but he also had another form of his bankai which he called its true form the kaleidoscope(i think that what is called).

so its possible that ichigo has not learned the true form of his bankai.

so ichigo may not have 2 bankai's but he may learn another form of his current bankai its true form
