But the thing about Hinamori and Hitsugaya though was that Hinamori was the first person to see him alive. Ever since she had seen him "dead" she had been a mess. You could say he killed her out of pity, because he knew that she could barely go on living without him. Hitsugaya came at him with his Bankai so he defended himself. But Retsu, figuring it out, went there with no intentions to fight. She seems to be very knowlegable about the things going on and everyone in the gotei 13 seems to lean on her in some way or another. Aizen seems cold and heartless, but it just doesn't seem like he would kill someone for the reason that they found out about his plan that was ending anyways.
