On the hollows thing, I could of sworn that they said those forced to become a hollow would be able to remember, but otherwise they were just driven mad.
One other random thought here (trust me, totaly random) Tatsuki = Yoruichi's granddaughter? It would be funny, and she has been around earth for several decades, so not unfesible. Just imagine Soi Fon's reaction if this was true (you did WHAT with a HUMAN?)!
I dont know, I think that the memory loss is more of a gradual thing than an instant memory wipe since the little kid remembered his mother and the hollow and acted as bait to be with his mother again.
I think that basically people will start to forget their prior life because they are seperated from all the people that were in it since most people dont ever meet their families again. They just grow to forget about their short time on earth because in soul society they live for long periods of time if not eternally without their companions and family so theres no real reason to keep a place in their mind for them.
So that being said, if they all died and went to SS they would still know everybody and them being reunited would allow them to never lose their memories of the past or at least not of their friends who died with them.
What do you have that would suggest a memory wipe happens when you die???
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends
