No.. means he released

Vasto Lord is a human like hollow

Arrancar is a Hollow that had their mask removed thus gained some human-likeness..

I find it interesting that his Zanpakuto is called "豹王". Panther Lord? How does that even correlate to the command "Grind"?

That's totally to be expected.

There's been a rather clear correlation between how normal an arrancar looks and its power thoughout the series, probably not because Kubo planned it but simply because nobody would like it if the espada turned into hideous freaks of nature when they released. If a villain is supposed to be cool, their design and powers will be made to look cool as well.

Not much at all, though the word for Grind does refer to gnashing teeth according to wiki. (Grind does correlate quite well with Gamma though, since Gamma used a chainsword.)
