    I would imagine, since Kubo seems to be setting up the Spirit King as a monotheistic God figure, that he has more than just hybrid power, more than likely, since Hacci is a v and has powers like Inoue, that the Sk is all of those powers combined. And while I think Orihime will use her powers to reject the event that creates the key(with the help of Ichigo's massive reiatsu), thus returning everyone's life. I think she is also going to be forced at some point to use her abilities to help make Ichigo a stronger vizard by using them on the jewel, so Ichigo and perhaps Urahara and Isshin, so they canmaximize their abilities.(I know that Isshin isn't one, but I'm betting he'll become one.)

    ummm... If soul society can see that Aizen is going to sacrifice the entire city and they cant stop him couldnt they just kill enough people in the city so that he dosnt have enough to sacrifice to make a key? Then Aizen cant reach the king. but thats only if they were really desperate.

    @Viriten
    An interesting idea hit me with your post on this: what if the swords are all linked to the King? Each blade could be a bit of his personality or something. Wild speculation, and I don't realy belive it myself, but still that is what makes these forums worth it.

    Okay, another possible subtle hint about King...as mentioned by Grimmjaw...he says he wants to be King in the latest chapter and he's an espada. Now, as I've said before, none of this is direct evidence but rather speculation based off subtle hints dropped here and there in manga about the idea of 'King'. So this is another reference to being King and having both shinigami and hollow powers. Just thought I'd add that little thought process here.

    I would guess that the first king was powerful enough to make the key based on his own power, and that the lineage has thus gotten weaker as time went on (new blood added into the mix would always be weaker, if the king was the strongest), so to make a new key of the same caliber, a great sacrifice is required.

    That would be my intrepretation of everything. The Kings are supposed to be immensely powerful after all.

    Well, I may be wrong, but, waaay back in time, when leaving SS, didn't Aizen said something like "There in noone above, Throne is empty. I want to surpass my limits and takу this throne for myself"
    Like, King is dead!

    Well, the King hadn't even been introduced then. And as SS explained it, the King doesn't actually play an active role. So Aizen might just be referring to the fact that King doesn't actually act like a King, calling it as good as an empty throne. If he (Aizen) was in power, he may take a more active role than the current King, thus fulfilling the throne.

    I think the "king" or "god" was the original entity.. and that he contained neither hollow nor shinigami powers but the combination of both, smoothed out to form one power which has not been named yet, and whoose closest resemblance is the Vaizards..
    My idea is that that god devided those powers he had, into shinigami and hollow powers, thus creating the balance of the world(of hollows and plusses) which shinigami are supposed to maintain. He devided the powers so that noone would seek to overthrow him, or something.
    Urahara's banishment from Seireitei may have been ordered by the "king" himself, because this was one step closer of optaining the power only he has.. or had?

    Anyway.. Bleach is like this. It dishes out all sorts of crap, which sounds exciting because its so improbable, and then it tries to explain it bit by bit.. with some holes in it, though..
