Aside from No. 9 releasing his sword, has anyone else from the Espada released their swords?

    ^Thanks Yoko^
I thoroughly believe that most mods in this site suck.

No, the Domestic Principle of High-Quality Shock Value prevents their releases from being shown until around 50 chapters after they attempted it. It dictates that whenever a powerful character attempts a zanpakuto release it is 1) stopped before it can be completed, 2) made needless and thus sheathed again, 3) released but not shown in the chapter itself or 4) there is no four. Why do you assume there's a four? Cause it's the number of death? Stop obsessing over four. Other numbers need love too, you know?

    Minazuki

Retsu Unohana's zanpakutō is Minazuki (肉雫唼). The term has no coherent translation as a whole. The first two characters in its name, mina (肉雫) mean "meat/flesh droplets." The last character, tsuki (唼), is an obscure character meaning the sound or appearance of birds feeding, according to the Dai Kan-Wa jiten. The last character is actually no longer recognized by Japan's Ministry of Education. In context, the most logical interpretation of the name would be "flesheater" or "fleshdrinker," which fits with its ability to heal people by eating them. Another explanation is that the name is a homonym made-up by the author: minazuki (水無月) is the traditional Japanese word for the sixth lunar month. Minazuki (with different kanji) is also a Japanese snack.

In sealed form, Minazuki is slightly longer than ordinary katanas, and resembles a nodachi. Instead of tying it to her obi, Unohana carries her zanpakutō over her shoulder by a rope strap or lets Isane carry it for her. While it has been shown in unsealed form a number of times, Unohana is only seen unsealing it in the credits of episode 30. Though the command is unknown, it is shown that Unohana holds the sword sheath while the hilt and guard dissolve into a green mist that flows out of the end of the sheath. She is also shown drawing her zanpakutō in order to heal Tōshirō Hitsugaya; a green light emanates from her as she prepares, but the scene cuts away before anything occurs.

When unsealed, Minazuki transforms into a giant, flying, one-eyed manta-ray. It's large enough to transport many people on its back (at least a dozen, based on its size when compared to those riding it). Additionally, it can swallow even more people and transport them in its stomach, healing their injuries at the same time. When it needs to land, it can grow three-toed legs to support itself. Once it lands, it can also regurgitate those it is carrying in its stomach, leaving them covered in various fluids. When Unohana reseals Minazuki, it dissolves into green mist and reforms into the sheath of her zanpakutō.

y dus kyouraku have such a long release command? its something like:
"flowers are disturbed, god of flowers weeps, winds of Heaven are disturbed, demon of Heaven laughs" (花風紊れて花神啼き天風紊れて天魔嗤う hana kaze midarete, kashin naki, tenpū midarete, tenma warau) i think that survival is important, so why wuld someone hav a sword with such a long ass command?
and y is ukitakes double in shikai, but single in unreleased unlike kyouraku's?

Anime = you can talk for hours and the enemy wont attack you (except if they say or express boredom and they tell the protagonist that they will attack)

because kubo made it that way, it would be boring if both of their swords are double while unreleased. Also there are swords that appears as one but can be separated into two, his is probably like that.

@kprime: I think you should have included where you got that, your post is a cut-and-paste from wiki... Just a friendly reminder.

There is also speculation that Yoruichi's zanpakutou is now in the possession of Soifon. Kenpachi's is in permanent shikai, rather like Ichigo's.

We also know the command for the release of Grimmjow's zanpakutou, BUT. The scene. Was. Cut off. Before anything could happen. D*mn.

It isn't, when soifon and yourichi were fighting soifon spoke of her ability with Suzumebachi being incomplete before yourichi left sould society, something along the lines of "my blossoms only lasted a short time", proving beyond doubt that Suzumebachi was in use by soifon before yourichi left, I think the confusion was raised by the line " the drawing of the correction corps commander's sword..." which could lead some to believe that the sword was handed down along with the post.

About Kenpachi, it has been mentioned that he doesn't even know the name of his sword, so we can assume that he doesn't have shikai. Though it makes me wonder how awesome it will be.

I believe that it was stated that his rietsu forced it into shikai without him knowing it's name, though that could of course be misdirection, and even if it is already in shikai, his power will grow by knowing the name since their respective rietsu's will no longer be in conflict
