I'll be the one to say it: I'm unusually pleased with this chapter. Rukia didn't have much past-based uniqueness until now. That, and it gives a new shock effect to the chapter where you saw him dieing on her shoulder. Well, and also it doesn't hurt that even she doesn't consider that thing to be Kaien anymore.
Yeah, another thing than made the chapter slightly better than the spoiler would suggest. It seems like Ishida really might be able to take over/dissolve and absorb other spiritual entities if that's the case.

i dont see how she'll survive tho, some other character will most likely pop up. she obviously still has reatsu left tho from using that last dance.
What the hell were those skull balls tho? both of them? thats what I want to know.
It was one of the most disappointing chapters I've seen in a while. It's just more plot and Deus over and over. Here's some reasons

The whole battle he just focused on using a Vice-Captain's abilities. If this guy is #9, SS can take out all the other 100 arrancar Aizen has with just one captain.
2 - What was the point in Arroniro releasing? "I can use all the hollow powers I've eaten all at once!" Yet he did not use a single one. >_> Something wrong there...
3 - Why the hell was this guy so cocky? He stabbed her, and he knew she didn't die. She put a broken sword to his face, which he knew she still had some reiatsu left. She spoke and attempted to release, and he didn't even flinch. Yet... he did not throw her, or attempt to dodge the dance/stab.
Basically, this whole fight was to show that Rukia had to get rid of her past to move on and get stronger. It's KT's Rukia fandom of foreverness. I'm hoping Arroniro is still alive and does something with his release form, otherwise it's just a huge disappointment that an Espada ranked 9 would be defeated by his own stupidity. Then again... this is the exact same thing with D. Roy. We all thought he was going to be strong, but turned out to be a major dud.
this chapter was boring nuff said
You can't be talking about Naruto right?

As for Rukia winning...yeah, "I decide to attack so I win" doesn't make any sense.
and get sliced in half again??? no thank you.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

no one dies in bleach. it's one of the greatest flaws of the series. there's just no suspense.
follow that up with "WHY IS THIS A GOOD IDEA TO SEND A RAG TAG GROUP LIKE THIS!?" It's like none of the protagonists know what they're doing... nor does kubo.
that said... this chapter had a little bit of character development. it's been a while since i've seen that.
