    Default Soul Society....

    It been a long time that I've been disturbed by the fact that In BLEACH, there isn't any foreigner Except for Chad a mexican Japanese. However INSIDE soul Society, they always show pure asian in this case japanese. So where did all the European, African, American's soul went to? Don't TELL me they all became hollow just because they arent AZN. I meant are the creator planning on making different division of Soul Society? or Simply say that foreigner go to a different "Heaven". (Most Likely they will be extremely lazy with the Other" theme and skip that part)
    CONTINUE-->
    actually I meant that SOUL SOCIETY (SOULS/Spirits) that go there is all japanese But where do all the rest of the world go 2. Tozen and yoruichi seem like from another Nationality but if you put it that way, they could also come from the pacific island where most people are Tan skin color (Niijima, Hachijō, Kōzu, Honshū or Kyūshū). SInce the SEtting In is within the JAPANESE region (somewhere in the real world), it is understandable, HOWEVER the main point is, if the creator where to make HEAVEN a general idea. Wouldn't They should include a massive amount of territory to cover in term of races and culture rather than simply japanese. Soul society is too small in term to hold the soul of every individual that is (AMERICAN, AFRICAN, or EUROPEAN). SO I was wondering, would the creator go so far into setting UP a division of a different Society that accept a different kind of soul that had fallen from a different region. They also had mentioned about Mexico in a certain chapter see (CHAD).

    I have no idea. There is the fact its a Japanese manga, therefore people are more inclined to expect more of Japanese people in it. Also think about Tousen. He looks african american.
    I have a mystical 9 ball. And what is a mystical 9 ball you ask? Well if an 8 ball is magical then a 9 ball is mystical.

    Tousen - Clearly some kind of African Nationality
    Sajin Komamura - Clearly a dog-man!
    Aizen - Looks more american or european; definitely not Asian
    Shunsui Kyoraku - Not sure what to say he is; perhaps spanish

    As for language, obviously everyone has to be speaking the language of the audience, which is the point of dubbing right? It's the same reason the main setting is Japan (and why most american dubs imply it to be in America if a lot of censoring has happened.)

    Hmm, thats a good point you have there... but what I was thinking was, depending on where you enter Soul Society from, thats the kind of people you see there, you know what I mean? For example, if you went to Brazil or Mexico and entered from there, you would see mosly Hispanic looking people, and then the occasional person from another race. Because if you die in that country, you go to SS from that country.. and I assume this becasue SS isnt small at all, its HUGE and vast, most likely equivalent to the world we live in now... (remember even in one of the earlier chapters with Shibatta [the little parakeet boy], they said that its a slim chance that you find your family when you go to Soul Society?) So therefore what we see in Bleach is only a tiny fraction of what there is to Soul Society. Who knows, maybe every country has their own Thirteen Protection Squads too. So basically, if Ichigo and company are in Japan and enter SS from Japan, they might see mostly Japanese people there right?

    I dunno, thats just my thought on the matter.. ^^;

    maybe thats what the 80 districts signify. who knows, i was about to praise Bleach for even considering to have non japanese people in it. its rare as hell to see black people or hell even people of not asian decent in manga at all. then you have to think it IS a japanese manga so of course everyone speaks japanese. that holds true even if theyre not japanese - look at chads childhood for his explanation for speaking japanese even though he grew up in Mexico.

    i found it hilarious in Ring Ni Kakero that the best boxer was a pure american black kid and he spoke perfect japanese for absolutely no reason... hell every country in that anime has people from France Germany America all speaking japanese like it was their everyday language. you gotta remember that its just like American comics, although in books like the X-Men where people are from all over the flipping world everyone mysteriously speaks perfect English... same principle.

    I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
    I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
    before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

    Not only in Bleach, but in most other anime, race, color, etc. is irrelevant. After all, how many Japanese people do you know who have blond hair, violet eyes, or other such colored features? Tousen taicho's skin is irrelevant in the bigger picture, as is Shunsui's burliness, Komamura's bestial appearance or Soi Fon's more Asian look.

    But nonetheless, Shrikonekoi raises a valid point. Are we all to assume that all the (good) souls in the entire world will arrive in a Japanese-esque Soul Society? Surely, there would have to be something like a Little India in there, hehe.
    But if there was an answer, it would probably be that such an issue was considered of no importance to Kubo Tite, as it'll have little to do with the main story.

    And also, it's been bothering me for quite a long - how is it possible that souls are born dirctly into the soul society. it is supposed to be a bit like "heaven" where souls of dead people go to... who can become a shinigami? is it possible for humans? how can it be that childhood friends of rukia died? it's like heave - how can a soul die, and what happens to it there? wtf
    what about people killed in soul society?
    i'm totally confused xDD

    It's a cycle of reincarnation; you die on earth, you go to Soul Society; you die in soul socity, you are born again back on Earth
