Even after this chapter, I still think that Inoue's affection or love is one sided. I don't know, she just can't replace Rukia. The only thing she can hope is that her leaving will make people feel sorry for her(fans and people in bleach). I won't be one of those people because to me she is the worst character in Bleach.

Her love will be one sided mainly because Ichio is the type of guy to priviledge friendship rather than love. He's one of those romantic (in romantic I'm talking about the characteriestic of someone who's apart from others, who seldom talks and doesn't indulge in much other activities and whose natural predicament to being alone renders as lonely - that was present in the 17th century) kinds. Rukia has her life in SS and is not interested in Ichigo. She shares a dep friendship, maybe as strong as the one she has with Renji but I don't see anything more about her. As for Inoue, she'll end up with someone else, Ishida maybe - well, I hope so, cause it'd be cliché if she ends with Ichigo.

I really wish we could see some actual development in the characters love interest area cause we are getting no where... well i would like to see character development in general because ive never really seen a handful of characters talk to each other
Sherlock Holmes and Matthew Watson were on a camping and hiking trip. They had gone to bed and were lying there looking up at the sky. Holmes said, "Watson, look up. What do you see? "Well, I see thousands of stars." And what does that mean to you?" "Well, I guess it means we will have another nice day tomorrow. What does it mean to you, Holmes?" "To me, it means someone has stolen our tent".

Character development come in time in Bleach and mostly through flashbacks. No need to ask or wish for them in conversations.

Why does everyone dislike Inoue so much? She's just being a girl...which is already pityful since she's been portrayed in the whole series as being Weak... =_=
Not like she has a choice of being invisible, and if anyone had a choice to say bye to just 1 person, doubt he/she wouldn't go to the one they love, one-sided or not. So she's just being human, don't hate.
However, I haven't seen any *personal development* in Rukia, which is kinda disappointing...

I like inoue and i want her to end up with ichigo... yeah i didnt like how she was portrayed as weak either... made her no different from most of the other helpless women you see alot in anime

and i agree on the rukia thing as well

Now that I think of it, the translation provided does not specifically say that Inoue is invisible. More like undetectable - with her spiritual powers hidden or hindered to avoid detection. But I still think people can see her.
