wasnt it supposed to be less than half than your upload rate?

98se is much better than most of microsoft's OS's (and don't tell me milleniumm was better).

    back on topic

i've found i could get away with as high as 90% of my max UL rate my system is capable of.

Just experiment with the ul rate until everything works right

Did I say anything like that somewere ?

Win98se is much better then others. I used it for about 5 years, but at the end I had to change it to winxp exactly because the bittorrent.
98se has a deep proggraming "bug" that can't be fixed. It reaveals in that when you use any torrent client and any internet browser you cant use it at one time. In browser u get "no serwer found" or "page not found" depending on the browser. It's like that even when bittorrent client downloads and uploads 0kb/s. The problem is in limited slots and tcp connections, and as I said u can do nothin with it.

hmm.. limited tcp connections? I never knew the 65,000 tcp slots isn't enough... but whatever.. we'll have to wait and see if thats what he's truely running (btw with some BT clients you can restrict the number of connections it makes so you can stop it from filling all of them).

I've been finding alot of people like bit comet and azureus. I personally use Utorrent, but it takes a little setup to make work.

ooh Do you use windows firewall? If so, what service pack do you have installed in your computer?

i personally use bitlord, but that has retarded stuff in it, so im moving to bitcomet.
azurus takes up too much ram and processing power.
