    Default Grouped Bittorrent Downloads

This is a question about those Bittorrent downloads that aren't for a single file, but rather for a group of them, like say 4 episodes. I can see they are being saved as 4 distinct files, but my question is: will the torrent complete one before moving onto the other? And if one does seem complete, will it be usable if it is removed from the folder, away from the others?

By the way, specifically, I'm trying to download episode groups of Monster from animesuki, by either Soldats or Anime-Kraze. I'm using ABC, and have a super-slow 56k modem connection... so finding out now would save me weeks of waiting, then disppapointment!

    Thanks guys

Hmm. They download all eps on the same time not one eps then move on to next one.

But u could use bitcommet and then u can choose what eps u want to download

Bittorrent will download them randomly. instead of going one file to 100%, it will start File A and get to like 10% and then simultaneously start File B and get to like 5%. It's weird like that.

I don't recommend moving it. Never tried doing that.

If you're using BitTornado, you can press details and see how far each of your files are done. When that files gets to 100%, you can watch that file and AT THE SAME TIME you can dl the other series in your batch. <--though, the quality may not be too good, depending on how many CPU you're gonna kill your computer. I can do this for a limited amount of time before my video starts lagging.

Cool cheers guys. I have decided to swap to BitComet, I've heard a few good things about it now. Let's see how this goes...

    OK, It's been a week...

I got BitComet, and am using it (at my insanely slow speed), but now I have an exciting new gripe.

The amount I download isn't at all proportional to the percentage it says I have downloaded, or the amount I have yet to download.

e.g. The file's about 660MB, say. I've downloaded about 300MB, but it says I'm about 25% done, with about 400MB to go. It's been like this the whole time. Is there just a whole lot of wasted download because it's a group file? Or is this particular file fucked? Or is my computer possessed by an evil binary-eating demon?

Here's my random guess; it's downloading broken/corrupt pieces.

I've often gone slightly above the amount of the total download. 175 for a 172.5 mb file and so on. However, never to the extent where it's 100's or even 10's of megabytes. That is sincerely worrying.

Also, make sure that Bitcomet is displaying files in terms of megabyte size rather than megabit size as some clients tend to do until you change it in the options.

Hey, thanks but yeah, it's hundreds of megabytes off. And it says only 156 or 152 kb of rubbish data have been dropped. I don't know why. It does display in megabytes, not megabits. I'm stumped. Hopefully the next one, it fixes up. I'm still working through that one tho...

Christ that could add anything from 20 minutes to 2 hours more download time depending on your speeds.

I'll bug the guys to look into your problem, but you may want to attempt asking for help from the Bitcomet people. They can offer you advice that we can't.
