is there any good irc channels i could use for anime?

Just about every fansub group has a irc channel with xdcc bots to distribute releases. Just go to their website or look them up on anidb.

For an all inclusive one... not that I know of.

I suggest that you just search for the anime on animesuki and then check up on the subber's channel.
