It wasnt like this in the past.It only happened recently. My azereus and bitcomet both can only connect to a limited amount of peers and download very slow.Even though I checked the settings.

oh ya.azereus gives me a green face too.this means i don't have to forward ports right?
It helps to forward ports, unless your router has that automatic setting (can't remember it's name), but if it was working once... meh.
If you have a router assigned IP adress, DHCP, then try running the commandThis will kill your connections, btw.Code:IPCONFIG /RELEASE
Next run the commandThis will reset your connection to the router. This sometimes helps. After beeing connected for a long while without a break (restart usually isn't enough) the connection can kinda degrade.Code:IPCONFIG /RENEW

That is not the problem.I already tried it.
My router is Linksy WRT54G
heard that it has some problems with bittorrent.
how do i fix it?
edit.It seems i got a NAT problem caused by my router
as shown by bitcomet
this is solved by forwarding ports right?
but how do i do it? i tried following the guides here
but i was stuck at the static ip part because the screen shown was different from mine.

O_O
Soooooo fuuuuuun... T-T
Linux Router FTW!
Well here's how to forward the ports.

Note that you can also use Port Triggering (which is the way to go if you have multiple computers that use IRC or BT) as this router supports it (even without the fantastic 3rd party firmware for it). Note that it's recommended that you use a special tool that is on their site, however it is not needed if you set up a static IP... although with Azereus, it might cause problems if the program doesn't provide a proper time to forward the ports. I've never set azereus up for such, but I'll look for the option later and edit the post if I find it.

Thanks.
Fixed it
got a question.
Is it possible to make the computer connect the internet on its own if it disconnects?
Last edited by nick2000; 02-16-2007 at 09:05 AM.
I don't know what you are asking... disconnects from what type of connection? Also, disconnects from what? Disconnects from the router? Or if the router disconnects from the modem? Windows by default will try to re-establish a connection if it's dropped (which would be between your network card and the router in this case). So long as the cable is plugged in, it tries and tries. Other than that, I don't know.

Here's a weird problem.
I have no NAT problem now.
But the download rate is still very slow.=(
Edit: I found out that it is the amount of connections that is the problem.
Even after fixing the NAT problem.I can connect to about 30-50 peers only.
I used to be able to connect to a few hundred.
and after i did the settings, my internet disconnected quite frequently

Try turning the connections per second down in the BT program. You can still keep the total connections up there, but just lower the frequency.
Also, give this a go if your willing to risk your system (should be fine, but I make no guarentees).

If you have a software firewall as well, I suggest checking to make sure the correct ports are opened there as well.
