Thread: Mirc - Mozzila!Volvogga Help!

Ok so heres the thing,I rebooted my computer yesterday
And so that messed up my Mirc and Mozzila settings
Before when i clicked a Mirc Link on baka updates
such as this one

A thing comes up and asks me whether i want to Launch application
or Cancel...
And it automatically start Mirc and connect to the channel..
But this time it doesnt come up...
Can u guys please help me`??

That sounds like mIRC has a problem... but we can fix that easy enough.
Type about:config into the URL bar of a blank tab in firefox. Now in the filter box type:

network.protocol-handler.external.irc

Nothing should come up... if it does, stop and let me know what does.

Anyway, now we're going to add that. So right click anywhere, go to add, then select boolean. Now type what I told you before... network.proto... blah blah. Press OK. It will then ask if it's to be true or false... answer true and hit ok.

Now right click again and go to add. This time select string. For the name type

network.protocol-handler.app.irc

and for the string value type the path to mIRC (C:\Program Files\mirc\mirc.exe or whatever it is... you'll have to find that out, just check the path by looking at the properties of the shortcut to the program in the start menu). Hit ok, then restart firefox...

After this it should work.
