Default Miura has given up berserk for Idolmaster..... (sadly this is no joke)

    http://yunakiti.blog79.fc2.com/blog-entry-2538.html
(this is the actuall japanese source)

here are some news in english:
    http://www.animenano.com/entry/72864...ay-idol-master
    http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/0...kentaro-miura/
    http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/1...y-idol-master/

i remember someone saying something about there are people that can pressure Miura.
whoever said that, please die in a corner, you have no idea what you're talking about.

this old bastard rather faps to idolmaster instead of doing some work. And it seems no one in japans fuckin cares.

i doubt we will get to see some berserk in the next 6 months or so.

You´re talking like sankakucomplex never trolled people before.

And this is one very obvious troll, the last news at least. Miura said he was taking a break when he bought Idolmaster, saying that he completely stopped the work of his life because of a game reaches idiocy.

of couse he will not give up berserk forever, but he has given up berserk for now for a stupid game.
that makes one wonder if we get to see the end of berserk in one lifetime if a mangaka is so easily distracted from his work.
and considering that the producer does not seem to care about miura doing what he wants

and i know the news is a little exxagerated, but the statement that he has given up berserk for playing idolmaster still is the truth. wheater he faps to it or not

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but how long has he been working on Berserk (amongst other things)? Quite some time I'd say, and personally I see no issue with him taking a longer than normal break as long as he plans to start it up regularly again eventually.

Considering the quality of his work even whilst (or perhaps even because) he takes the occasional break I'd say he's justified in doing so. It just sounds bad when coupled with the idea that he is also playing games while doing it, and why not? Good way to take a break.

Anyway here's hoping to getting to that goddamn Elfhelm once he gets back, after Griffith puts that walking catastrophe in his place.

It's his comic so he can do w/e he wants. It's like being a recording artist and taking 3 years between albums.

IMO Berserk isn't that interesting anymore anyways. Haven't read it in like a year. I'm completely satisfied with waiting till he's done and just reading what I've missed then.

Hope you enjoy those three chapters. They're pretty Griffithy. IIRC.

Miura is just getting some inspiration for the yet-to-come Elf arc.

Random shota elf: Am I cute, uguu~?
    Gutts: Awww...

Then Miura turned Berserk into a moe manga to boost sales.

Ok well i definitely have respect for the man and his work so im not about to say that he doesnt deserve a break but.... idol master? really? I mean i hear about mangakas taking weeks even months off because of an illness or they might even just take a vacation for a couple of weeks but...idolmaster? I dont know i personally feel that thats kinda wierd...(i have a another word for it but im not gonna disrespect the good mangaka) Its like stan lee not putting out spider man for an extended period of time because he's working on american idol the video game, people would be asking wtf mr. lee is thinking you know? So i understand everybody needs a break but i guess i just find this a little diffrent shall we say.
