Thread: The Very Beginning of Berserk

So, lets all think waaaaaaaay back to the very beginning of volume 1. If I remember correctly, Guts was busy "getting some" from a female demon. How would Casca react if she knew about this "incident?" And, how many more of these "incidents" have there been?

Hehe, good question. I guess, it was just something to make the reader interested (for those, who like such mangas) - as well as Guts killing all the people in the tavern (where he rescued Puck). It's just for show ^^
I think, Miura didn't think that far. And later he surely hoped, the reader would forget about that

I think it was to show Gutts personality. A guy that would do anything to achieve his objective. Remember that the female demon was in the eclipse and killed some of Gutts friends/family. So he showed him doing that to make the demon think it was going to be an easy pray. Just some thoughts. About the tavern, he can be an evil bastard sometimes but he just killed someone because the abused was to weak to counter attack.

I doubt Casca will ever find out unless Guts tells her which would be very unlikely.

If she ever regains her sanity and all her memories I wonder how she reacts when she remembers that Guts bit her breast.

Maybe she'll grab his dick and say "give me more!"? =P

Actually about the beginning.. ive always been confused.

Is this in the future? (it may be 7 years if i recall but idk) if so then how far, or is it even part of the main story. It shows guts meeting the Godhand and getting owned.. so is that a foreshadow of whats to happen then? or just a side story miura wrote for the heck of it

^No after the eclipse the story picks back up from right after the first few volumes.

whatever Casca got tore up by some demon meat, she's never gonna be the same again if you know what I mean. Gut's had to get some revenge ass.
