Default what does griffith mean? (pre-eclipse question)

Why does Griffith say something to Gatts along the lines of not wanting to be approached or else he will never forgive him?

This was when Griffith was running away with the horse cart and fell into a shallow pond and was going to commit suicide. and then Gatts catches up and approaches him. Then Griffith says something like "Stay back! If you touch my shoulder....I will never forgive again!"

Should i take it literally? Or what does he really mean?

    Btw, Berserk owns all!!!!

He simply didn't want Guts to "save" him, not only because his life was no longer worth living in his pitiful state, but also because being by the person who took everything away from him (from Griffith's point of view) would be too much for him to take.

oh, so it was a matter of pride right?

and he must have noticed how close gatts and caska have become, so he might be angry about that as well right?
he had some kind of daydream in which he is living a serene life with caska and they have a son name gatts and a dog named pippin. it seemed that he finally had reciprocal feelings for caska and wondered if this kinda of alternative life was good enough for him instead of his dream of being the ruler of his own kingdom.

I'd say his dream showed him how it would be if he surivied, and I thought that it was to not get that that he did kill himself. Which ended with him not dying but rather becoming a Demon.

That's not exactly how it happened. Griffith realised at that last moment he was too weak, pitiful and scared to even be able to end his own life. The resulting pain and anguish is what activated the crimson behelit.

About the dream, I don't believe he was seriously thinking about settling down with Caska. The thing about Griffith is that his dream meant everything to him, more than anything or anyone in the world. His determination was so great that while the scene of him living quietly with Caska might have been enough for anybody else in his state, that sort of ending to his ambitious dream was completely unacceptable to Griffith. That's what drove him to run away, and when all else failed, to try and end his own life.

what was femto's reason for raping caska? was it to piss off gatts or to punish caska for being romantically involved with the "traitor" (Gatts) ??

He ment to put Guts through as much agony as Gut put him through (in Griffith's eyes Guts ultimatly betrayed him and cost him everything). So what better way then (while in this new demon body) to take away everything that was anything to Guts? First sacrifice everyone... Guts and Caska were more then likely to be the only survivors for any length of time (one Griffs equal, the other only slightly behind). He was encouraging them to get along, and no doubt knew they eventually would come to like each other somehow (I don't know if he knew or not that they were together, but even so she had to be one of Guts colsest freinds. He knew that she was one of the few he'ld willingly submit punishment from). I beleive that in the end the "rape" would of been murder, with Guts as a finisher, that is if SK didn't step in.

Actually...Just to throw something into the mix: we know now that Griffith needed a host body to exist in the physical realm. Caska's rape was most likely a spiteful way of ensuring that medium's existence. (Seeing as how he knew that Casca was impregnated by Guts. - Post Griffith/Zodd in the "Graveyard of Swords." Scene.)

As mentioned by ranteil though, both Guts and Caska would have died afterwards. They were branded, so Griffith wouldn't have raped her in order to ensure the existence of his "container" knowing that she was supposed to die before the eclipse was over. I believe it was just Griffith repaying Guts in kind before the end.

MadDogMike, are you hinting that Griffith, in the physical realm, manifested his will unto Femto and let Guts and Caska survive as the two only beings who knew the real, physical Griffith, so that they can suffer more pain in the future when Femto eventually completes his plan?
