Seriously, just read it, it really feels like I'm reading berserk again, except Gutts is black.
Feel free to use this thread to point out obvious homages to Berserk in other Manga.

I think I'm gonna pray for this to be licensed in America for every night until it happens.Take yourself back to the 1880s where the KKK is thriving and the African American community lives in fear. The African Americans don't fear the KKK simply because they beat, rape, and kill them. No. They fear the KKK because the KKK eats them. They are the aptly named man-eaters, a kind of mix between werewolves and vampires. They consume human flesh, can shapeshift into various forms, and are practically immortal. Only one man, an ex-heavyweight boxer named Victor Freeman, dares to stand up to them. Equipped with a small arsenal and a set of modified brass knuckles, can our hero defend his people and avenge his past?

Heh. I'm 3 pages in and there's been a Berserk reference on every one of them. Meh you can't have too much of a good thing.
I wonder if it's going to turn out that he used to have a white friend who then betrayed his father to the KKK in order to gain their powers and become one of their leaders?
I can barely conceive the idea of a fantasy world of cone-toothed KKK cannibals.
At least now I know someone can.
Am I the only one that thinks it's strange they use the KKK, when the KKK(the original) only really existed around six or seven years(1866-early 1870's), and were mainly interested in attacking carpetbaggers and scalawags(I heard there were some attacks on blacks, but were rather rare, the carpetbaggers and scalawags had their special ire). The racist KKK didn't really exist until around 1915, when a separate organization was created, that decided to use the same name.
Oh well, you can always count on people to take distorted tidbits of history you get from the media, and turn it into stories like these. The manga is still interesting, though....
Oh dear God, that was orgasmic.
Must. Read. More.
Thank you for that.

Wow. Watch out Berserk, a challenger approaches.
So...I'm guessing he'll gain the annoying companion which every badass has...
