I recently went to Narutofan to check out if Naruto was airing this week and I saw an updated budget section. I decided to take a look seeing as Tazmo has asked for donations in the past and this time it seemed like he was going to explain where all the money went.

To my suprise it costs a lot to host Narutofan...$32,928 USD.

I'm a bit confused though...how come it costs so much? I know that Narutofan has downloadable manga but that is pretty much it(unless you're a Narutofan Plus member). Narutochaos allows direct downloads for ALL episodes and manga and asks for $350/month. Is there a need for 15 dedicated servers?

WTF. Why would anyone pay to be a member of NF? Tell me why plz. You can download all the manga with a free account. If you realy wanted the anime that badly their are free anime sites and bittorrent!

sigh*... Tazmo does it again. The servers he mentions aren't really that many...in fact, theres only 2-3 servers. he's just showing off just to get more people to join and become a member. also, he is using for his own gain. he is a fat bastard and wants it for himself. for an year. he spends around 2000 dollars for the site and the rest to himself. cheapass. don't u agree?

I dont know what he actually spends on the site but i can tell you for damn sure its not over 3 grand. I used to think you guys were a little crazy and childish with some of the stuff you said however after seeing his budget for this year i will agree that he is exploiting a television license that doesnt belong to him for personal gain.

so all his servers ARE at fdc, as previously speculated. In pages 85/86 on his site he got caught with his pants down about the "plus" members, well, and he never did answer directly about that question but as you can guess, those '15 media servers' (my best guess there's only 2, with multiple IP addresses going to them) - being at FDC (check out their prices http://www.fdcservers.net/dedicated.html) are pretty shitty and he's got to be a total fucking idiot if he's actually paying $2k a month for all of them. But he's not, so it's ok. So I think there's only 2 'plus' servers, at $149 and $129 respectively with multiple IPs going to those 2. The rest is a scam.
The only reason he might have 15 of them is if FDC knows he's fucking stupid, and are charging him for "new server" fees each time he needs 80gb to fill with crappy anime. He could be getting a much better deal with a server he actually owns and a ton of diskspace.

The '6 german servers' that are hosted for free by the ads, are most definitely not "his own". They're shared, and they host places like animesuki and animemanga.de and I think a bunch of other sites. Those '6' are also referring to 2 forum machines handling naruto fan, animesuki, and other forums (with vbulletin).
