Default I feel sorry for NF users

Heres what I found in NF's legal disclaimer:

    Legal Disclaimer
NarutoFan.com is a fan run, non-profit website dedicated to the anime series created by Masashi Kishimoto, NARUTO. Use of the NarutoFan.com website signifies your agreeing to the terms listed on this web page, along with terms located in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. NarutoFan.com reserves the right to make modifications to any of these policies at any time without notice to it's users.

Note the words "non-profit" and the phrase "reserves the right to make modifications to any of these policies at any time without notice to it's users."

Oh damn, doesn't that suck. I bet 80% of the registered users haven't even read this. I mean, who the hell would join after reading it? They can change it at any time allowing the to legally hack into your computer or make you pay shitloads of money, or some really reatarded crap which you can't do shit to.

I mean, sure, the webmasters are entitled to change their policies, but they should tell their registered users first before changing it, so users have a chance to cease using his stupid site.

If you claim a site is "non-profit" don't you have to prove that all donations are used to keep the site running? If and only if there is a surplus in any given month, even that money cannot be used for personal gains or use. It can be kept in an account with proof of transactions and this proof must be allowed to be shown at any given time. The money which is kept in this account can only be withdrawn for the maintence of the site. e.g. paying for prizes, paying if the month's donations isn't enough, and they must have proof for those as well.

From what I'm hearing, if its true that Tazmo is taking donations for himself. You can report him. Even his legal disclaimer allows you to report him. Tazmo makes me sick.
Solution to catch all pirating fools. Build a fence around the world. =P

thats just a normal disclaimer. Almost all services have something in it stating they reserve the right to make modifications to their policies at any time without notice to their users (it is your responsibility to stay current with the Terms and conditions of the website.

example: island internet terms and conditions
1.0 INTRODUCTION Island Internet Inc. ("Island Internet") reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions as stated in this agreement at any time. Any newer version of this agreement supersedes any of its predecessors. Customers are responsible for being familiar with the current revisions of all policy documents (for availability please see section 7.0 AVAILABILITY OF THIS DOCUMENT).
    telus.net Acceptable use policy
    Modifications

The terms of this Acceptable Use Policy may change at any time and without prior notice. The Customer is responsible for frequently reviewing this Acceptable Use Policy posted on TELUS' web site to obtain timely notice of any such changes.
theres two good examples of this. Its always been the user's responsibility to understand the terms and conditions of any place they visit.

As for the nonprofit part i agree.. you do have to have documentation proving all the income the nonprofit buisness makes goes back into it (zero net income). [/u]

Um... you don't have to pay to join NarutoFan.
I'm not here much, but if you have anything to say to me about Tazmo, you're either (a) fanatical, or (b) wrong. If not, we can be friends. Except you, Martyr. We can never be friends.

    @vash
Hah, thats obvious, but i dont think thats the point he is trying to make, hahah, i think hes just pointing out the obvious of
"I took the time to read a disclaimer and understood it"
obviously the disclaimer is meant to protect the person who made it, and not the customers. Thats why its a disclaimer basically saying
If bob and suzie enter the bank to rob it and if anything wrong happens bob has the right to run away and let suzie take the burn or, bob can stab her and let her take the blame for it still

    Thats basically most disclaimers meaning
    <<SIG REMOVED>>
    ahh poo

I feel so bad for NF members. I actually know a girl who used that site until she found out what kind of person he is. Now she regrets it so much-especially since she thought the money she donated was for a good cause.

Exactly...A disclaimer is just a means of covering ones ass so to speak. You have people sign/check disclaimers and waivers so that sometime down the road..they cant sue you for something. Assuming a disclaimer is in any way for the user is rather nieve.
