Anime/Manga Community responsiblity
I know already what I'm about to say is going to be found very unpopular at this site, but everyone here needs to take note.
Bashing Tazmo in a public manner doesn't solve anything and in fact makes the matters worse even if all the claims this site makes are right on the mark about Tazmo. This site as well as others like it has a respondsiblity to the online anime/manga community to handle these matters in a quiet manner.
I for one don't want the government or other authority organization sticking their nose in something like this. Why? Let's face it folks. Downloading anime and manga from the web is piracy plain and simple. People can justify it all they want, but the simple fact is if the government really wanted to get involved in this matter they would have to take a look at the content of all the anime/manga sites and the only sites that can legally say they are within their rights to post data files for anime or manga are the companies that license the anime and manga.
Now I suggest figuring out what the MAC addresses of Tazmo's servers are, and then figure out how to track his traffic on his site before you go around saying he is commiting D.o.S. attacks. As for all the other stuff related to Tazmo's personal life, that's no one's business except his own. None of us have so much free time as to worry about another person's personal life without being paid to do so.
As for donations for any web page translating manga, I don't trust any of them. Either they do it for fun or out the goodness of their heart or in my opinion they shouldn't do it. I'll give my money to those holding the license and or the ones who actually created the manga.
I know most of you will take this whole thread as one that is supporting Tazmo, but I'm not. I'm a neutral party who doesn't care about his personal life, enjoys downloading the manga from his web page, and if he's committing fraud/D.o.S. attacks and there is real proof from real investigators, then I'll want his head on a pike as well so long as it is done in a professional manner.
To date this site hasn't done it's bashing in a professional manner. In fact it has gone about things in a childish manner, i.e. without any thought being put into what is being posted here. For the good of the anime/manga community I would urge this site to refrain any further from sinking down to Tazmo's level. Don't upset the anime/manga community to the point you force it to take sides.
this site lets people bash tazmo to help them get it out of their system. and their 'childish' bashing isn't for you to complain about. they can vent any way they want.
Re: Anime/Manga Community responsiblity
if the government was gonna do anything about manga/anime they would have done it long ago....however, no matter how large the fan base is anime/manga sale isn't a very big part of the economy and they just don't have much motivation to bother unless a company brings it up and most companies don't bother casue fansubbing and scanslation prior to license and sometimes even during license often help them.....

don't you find that childish?
at least kane does not make up false police reports like tazmo did
that IS childish
Babbo agrees.....there was a guy in another forum who had his cousin (who is a police officer) look at tazmo's supposed police report and he assured him that it was fake.....
we all know how stupid tazmo is, we dont need the actual police to confirm that
Sorry if this might go a little extreme (also might be a little sensitive), but wouldn't that justify all those hate groups (think kkk) that just so happen to have websites out there? Even if Tazmo was doing every single thing listed on this site by its users, does it really require a community to flame a guy living in a basement with sacks full of money to convey the necessary information?

And by the way, yes the Government is slowly turning an eye toward the anime/manga community due to a bill being passed around which would make file sharing programs such as Bit Torrent and programs tied to IRC illegal. Maybe not specifically on the anime/manga community, but on any community that is sharing copyrighted material over the internet.
we REALLY like reading those things from people like you: that just proves our points
