Thread: How much StopTazmo actually does

Forgive me if this sounds rude, as that is certainly not my intention. I am a relatively new member of the manga community and honestly only knew about the Narutofan scam after I joined StopTazmo purely as a means of downloading free manga. Since then I have become more interested in internet politics including the rabid hatred of Tazmo. What I want to know though is if this is merely an angry sulk corner where everyone can get together and whine or if we're actually taking an active stance against Narutofan. I have never used Narutofan and probably never will having found other sources for manga long ago, so if that is all this site is doing I will happily continue downloading here and donating whenever the spare cash comes to hand. So what exactly are we doing?

Its debatable, its difficult to track on the internet, but last I checked the # of new members he was getting was way down and he didn't have as many old premium members either. (It should be mentioned BleachExile works together with Narutofan).

I know Bakakage and Hard Gay subs both sprang from members/mods/admins leaving NF back in the day.

Quite a few scanlation and fansub teams have specifically put "Stop Narutofan" credit pages in their releases (Mangashare, Binktopia, BSmanga and Inane come to mind, although I know quite a few others do as well).

Its hardly stopping Tazmo, but its definitely hurting him.

Those are acutally quite good, even though I knew most of it. It's nice that more and more people are bringing it to attention. Just a shame that most people at NF actually doesnt care if Tazmo rip people off.

Some of the scan groups arguing about using water marks in their scans (well, they already thought about it earlier...).
It would be good to have a common water mark labeled used be all groups, that says clearly "Fuck you Tazmo" or such words.
That would be an appropriate instrument to spank Tazmos ass...

No actually the only two connections the sites have are they are hosted by the same person and Aco Starkana who is a lazy piece of trash has worked on both sites as a coder.
