Thread: Looking at both sides

Ok, first off this is my first time posting here so hi.
I've been a fan of Naruto (the series, not narutofan.com) since the beginning.
Very early on I discovered narutofan.com. More recently, however, I discovered this website. I've looked at the allegations made against Tazmo, and the rebuttals made at stopkane.com. Honestly, I do see that many of the Tazmo's supporters claims are not warranted that are against this site. However, upon looking at the bashing that you have done against Tazmo, I have not seen one clear-cut piece of evidence condemning Tazmo. The recent new laptop situation...isn't the only way that anyone knew about it was the fact that Tazmo himself brought the point up? If he used narutofan.com money for that laptop would he really incriminate himself? Furthermore, he explained it was a birthday gift. While I completely agree he has no way of backing his claim up, nor do you.

The only thing against Kane that has any validity in my mind is the sticky. Yes, I heard the point that you all like the same server because of the DDOS protection. However, there are at least 10 anime sites on that server. I'm a pretty believing guy...but what are the probabilities of 10 different anime servers on one name? However, once again I may be completely wrong and that server may provide such nice protection that everyone likes it.

Overall, this argument comes down to this: Tazmo has been stealing money donated to him, yay or nay. I've run servers before myself and to hold all the anime that he has takes large amounts of funds. I've personally chatted with Tazmo and I really didn't find him to be an offensive person. In conclusion, whether Tazmo has or has not been stealing money, I have no idea. The point I'm trying to make is that there cannot be hard evidence to point to this short of spying on his monetary transactions. All the evidence I've seen is wholly circumstantial; then again most of the evidence I've seen against Kane is also circumstantial.

On a sidenote about NarutofanPLUS: I honestly don't know what to think about it. Personally, I don't see why anyone would sign up...I mean the Direct Server downloads arent that much faster than BitTorrent downloads. Is it another way to make more money? Maybe. However, simply alleging that "Tazmo is stealing more money" in my mind is not evidence. If anyone has any evidence on either side please post it. thx.

That’s just my thoughts on the subject. Please don't flame me I'm just trying to bring a neutral perspective into the issue. I'd be glad to hear any comments, be they good or bad about this.

That proves why I feel how I do, just because some of the things he has done.

I will continue to feel the way I do until the issues posted in that thread have been resolved, IE fake user names to claim prizes, fake police report, locking trig out of the shared paypal account, and the other stuff posting in that same thread.

All tazmo has to do to clear his name is answer a few questions, the question is why has he not done that?

Whether you believe what it says or not is your choice, but it is incorrect to state that he has made no refutation. StopKane.com is full of his refutations, and while I have trouble completely buying all of them, alot of the comments that you made were successfully refuted by him in my mind. And calling him a Wife Beater really isnt the way to get support...that's a little childish if i may say so.

stopkane.info proves nothing that we have said wrong.

Tazmo has the power to prove us wrong, all he needs to do is show us where the money is going, with logs of everything, but you know what? He has not and will not and makes excuses for his reasons not to, and the reason why he won't is because he is guilty.

If he want's us to shut up, that is all he needs to do, but he can't.

I disagree that it provides no explanations, but that aside...
I've chatted with Tazmo before, and it basically comes down to one thing (at least what he says)
If he does provide a paypal log statement, some people from this site will say that he modified or changed it, or simply find something else to rant on even further. He claims it would add more fuel to the flames.

While I still think that he probably should provide the paypal statements, you must admit that it would be impossible to verify whether he falsified information or not, therefore making it impossible to completely aquit him of the accusations imposed against him.

Ok, I have read everything, and have a few questions that I'm sure you can answer. 1) So Tazmo is 16? kinda confussed, with the wife beater thing and everything. Also, how old are you? 2) It seems to me that there was somthing personal that went on that maybe hasn't been brought to life. Were you friends before the site? Just seems to me that I would not hold this much animosity over allegations I couldn't prove (if you could he would have some legal problems). I can understand your leaving and creating a new site, just not the continual hatred and bashing. It just takes some much effort to keep this whole thing up, and it seems there is no resolution, so is it even worth your time any more?

1. Tazmo is 16. I said at the rate he is going he will be a wife beater when he gets older. How old am I? 16^2 or close to that about, kind of scared to really count. I am a lot older than Tazmo though.

2. Tazmo and I have never been friends, the more people who read that thread about tazmo, the better I feel. This site is growing into a great community and it is worth my time to continue it.

I don't see a problem with it. If you read the sticky you will understand. It's clearly said right their.

I guess. Well, I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but in the US I believe he would have to file taxes since he is having this kinda of revenue, even if its a donation. Actually, that makes it easier to find out info. All non- profit tax organizations have their taxes availible to the public. Well, in the states anyways. Not sure how it works in Canada. I just find it hard to believe that anyone that owns a website ans pays for servers, then recieves donations in the amount we are talking about could get away with no taxes. You would think Paypal would monitor this, if they don't.

Also, after having been to both sites, hearing both sides, I have to believe a few things. 1) While Tazmo is in question, there isn't legal evidence. However, this doesn't mean he is entirely right. Being as you guys are 16, the temptation is high to take extra funds and keep them claiming it pay for working so hard. Hell I probably would have done it if I thought I could get away with it. 2) Even if he is stealing, just don't donate. Its still a good site. When you figure out your chances for the prize, its probably cheaper just to buy them. Anyway, I like both your sites alot, and the content is different as well. Where else am I going to find gantz? I like how you are set up like nexgear, which is my favorite site.

Oh, one last thing. I'm surprised you aren't a bigger Hunter x hunter or Berserk fan. Atleast they aren't featured with a large topic link. Those are the only manga's that top naruto and gantz for me. Sorry for the long post-- class sucks
